There is no news here about Rush Limbaugh. Do we need to talk about why he got thrown off of ESPN?

The guy is an idiot in every form of the word.

Cheesy

Obama's Appetite for Reconstruction Tour Off to Productive Start

In recognition of Obama's work so far, and in honor of one of the greatest records of all time, we've come up with this redux of the Appetite for Destruction record cover. It's a little raw, but so was Guns N' Roses, back in their heyday. Up at the top is Michelle, with the Obama girls on each side of POTUS Obama. At the bottom is Lincoln, who replaces Slash on top hat.

either way, I think Big O is proving right off the bat that some things are gonna be a changin.

I was wondering the same...maybe we should swing by the VR threads to see if he's still around.

If she's anything like the US, the first didn't really do all that much for her and she'll need another, bigger stimulus as soon as possible.  rofl

You really shouldn't set yourself up like that.

Hey nice to see you finally come around...This is something that has actually disturbed me for the past 8 years....but it didn't seem to bother most of you then...hmm what has changed since then?    Wink

There is a fundamental differnece between HOPING and WISHING that the president will fail, and simply thinking he IS failing.  I never wanted Bush to fail.  I never hoped Bush would fail.  I just happen to think he did.

Quote
better get used to it though...the left wing media crucified Bush on EVERYTHING over the past 8 years, and now they are blowing Obama before he has done anything...Do you really expect guys like Limbaugh to let that slide?

Again, there is a difference between pointing out the emperor has no clothes, and rooting for your country to fall flat on it's face.
I agree 100%.  However, I didn't see you criticize the same people that never gave Bush any chance to succeed.  I saw far more people on the left wishing Bush to fail than I have seen from the right wish Obama to fail.  That is just my perception.

That is the problem though, people are not interested in whats best for the country...its if THEIR side wins and has power... while he made mistakes and was far from the best president ever, George Bush did alot of good for this country and most democrats will NEVER admit that...just like im sure Obama will do some good things that the right will never give him credit for...thats just the way it goes...But it is nice to see some of you as outraged as I am when an American roots for the president to fail....I will never root for Obama to fail...I hope I vote for him in 2012 because that would mean he did one hell of a job..

Did GWB do some good for this country?   Sure.  But let's look at the big picture:  He made far more mistakes, and left us in far worse shape, than he did good, or improved us.  That's not just opinion...it's looking at the truths of where we are.  You can't bury your head in the sand.

No, that is opinion.  Sure we face a lot of problems -- and I think Bush made a lot of mistakes -- but the fault isn't as clear cut as you make it sound.

I certainly hope Obama succeeds.  I think we need a strong leader that can maintain America's strong presence in the world.  Although, as a non-liberal, Obama has made some decisions that I am pleased with, he has also made many decisions that have concerned me greatly.  I don't think we can spend ourselves out of this economic crisis; indeed, I thought Keynsian economics died with the great depression.  Further, I am very concerned about his decisions regarding Guantanamo and interrogation.  My guess -- which I could be wrong -- is that a lot of this is a show.  I think (and hope) that Obama is not dumb enough to tie America's hands behind its back.

Bush had eight years.  Obama's had 5 days (if you count the 20th).

How is this comparable?

It is beyond hysterical how all of these cry baby, whining, bitter right wing a-holes are soooo mad/upset Obama is pres.  It's almost as if they thought the last 8 years were good or something.  I really don't get it.
