Republicans are better at marketing their brand, and have been for some time.
its easier for them...Republican/conservative ideas are usually shared by MOST republicans, whereas liberalism tends to be more diverse and sometimes all over the place. Pro-life, Small government, low taxes, how many self described republicans would be against those things?
Sorry. My in-laws are extremely Republican. They are pro-choice and support gun control. (not banning guns, just common sense legislation)
My biggest bone to pick with the Left is with liberal judges that are soft on crime.
well there are exceptions to the rule of course, but a perfect example is look at all of the tea parties that happened today..im willing to bet that 99% of the people who went to those agree with each other on just about every issue..
i think its fair to say that MOST republicans are not pro choice...
Did you know that the Republican Party used to be a pro-choice party? It's very ideals of limiting government's influence speak to that message. Republicanism (true to its ideals) doesn't want government intruding into peoples private lives. The branding talks all about how government has gotten too big and intrusive.
While it's true that most Republicans nowadays are anti-abortion rights, I'm just here to remind you that it wasn't always that way. Republicans let their Party get hijacked by the Religious Right...yes, they "let" their Party get hijacked. Evangelicals vote in strong numbers...which is why nobody here should forget...Mitt Romney is not a Christian and will lose a good portion of Republican votes in 2012 if they decide on nominating the Mittster. (heck, he's a great example of a pro-choice Republican...but then again, he changed his stance to anti-abortion rights when he realized that's what he needed if he ever wanted to succeed on the national stage.)

Drew, isn't it funny when the profiling shoe is on a different foot?
Ahh, the irony is thick, aint it?
Okay, I have to ask, how did this Obama-D Summit get organized??? Man, first he says he's willing to talk with Iran...that I can accept. But D?
Obama isn't afraid of anybody!
one more thing, I guess I always got the words wrong in OIAM...I always thought that line was, "just a small town white boy just tryin' to make ends meet." Hmm, now I am questioning myself!

Can you imagine the out cry if Bush would have done this same kind of report on blacks, the panzy
ACLU
organization, the Left Wing radicals? If what B.O. is doing right now with this kind of report and isn't straight out of Hitler's idea of thinking, I don't know what is. This shit would hit the fan and the media would be calling for his head. Bush went after people who were a serious threat to this nations security.
I bet there wasn't a report done on B.O.'s long time buddies Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers who was the definition of a home grown terrorist if there ever was one.

Fucking hilarious. Yeah, Bill Ayers. Have you listened to the man speak one time? Drew, you're blinded by your party identification. Ayers is a stereotypical pansy left-winger... You are dredging up shit over 30 years old. What a joke.
Jeremiah Wright?
Drew, get a clue.

I have a very clear view! Your party blindness could be said just as easily.
Why are you not laughing at the report that was released by the B.O. administration? Do you think it has any validation?

We now have a Texas governor preaching secession, something my great-grandfather would have gladly shot him in the head for. These right wingers are trying to destablize the US. I think it is time everyone sees that these clowns want to treat this country like a banana republic, that legal elections mean nothing to them, and apparently to the governor of Texas, neither does the US Constitution. What people are seeing is current reality, these nuts have stacks of guns, huge amounts of military bomb-making know how, and may try to take over the US by force - their own leader Beck has said exactly that is going to attempt to rule the other 88% of us at gunpoint. We need to keep an eye on these crazy fuckers. Southern battle flags represent treason, it amazes me these right wing fanatics bitch when Mexicans wave their own flag, yet all cheer when the flag of a proto-fascist slave nation that attempted to destroy the USA is one of the main features of their political rallies.

A lot has been going on.
Olberman Maddow relentless on Bush administrations about "torture"....
O'Reilly claiming that CEO of GE (Parent company of MSNBC) having MSNBC push his agenda so GE can profit from the bailout.
Janet Napolitano is a blooming idiot. I can say with 100% certainty she isn't qualified to be leader of Homeland security...

MSNBC is just as biased to the left as Fox is to the right. They are what they are.
Its the same feud between O'Reilly and Olbermann thats been there for years. Just different accusations.

Why is she an idiot? This should be good.
She's defintiely qualified. She was governor of a border state with very high approval rating for a democratic politican in a red state.

She said that the 9/11 Terrorists came in through Canada..... WRONG
She also had the goofy comments suggesting when troops come home they are going to be a major threat to our national security...... Stupid to say. timothy McVie (sp) is the only former troop i can think of that became a terrorist and was a threat to national security. That was 1995.... She seems ill prepared, must like that goofy bastard Bob gibbs. Jim bob, Sarah palin shared a border with Canada and Russia, should she be the director of homeland security as well? The lady is a joke. Period.

Don't worry, I'm sure she's going to come out with her warning about left-wing terrorists any day now....... I'm sure she will. She probably already has, but for some reason it hasn't been reported. Probably just an honest mistake. Yeah, that's probably it.
By the way, did you notice how the Obama administration won't use the word 'terrorist' anymore, uhh that is, of course unless they're talking about right-wing Americans who happen to disagree with his policies.

Are you guys kidding? Our foreign policy since the end of WWII was driven by fear of left wing rebels and finally, after it being uber-conservative right wingers blowing shit up (OK City, WTC '93, Kenya and Tanzania embassy bombings, USS COLE, WTC '01 and Pentagon), we acknowledge that right wing violence could be a threat to national security and that's a BAD MOVE?
What's the body count of left wing versus right wing violence against US domestic and foreign targets? Is it even comparable?

You just compared American conservatives who love and want to protect their country to Islamic terrorist who attacked the WTC in 1993 and 2001, who attacked the Pentagon in 2001, who hijacked another plane and which would have probably been flown into the White House if it weren't for brave passengers on board that plane who fought back, people who attacked the USS Cole, who blew up U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, people who wanted to blow up planes over the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, and people who wanted to carry out a second attack in Los Angeles right after September 2001?
Janet Napolitano is a blooming fucking idiot with the full backing of that asshole racist B.O.!

No, actually, I did no such thing. I pointed out that terror attacks against the US (including our embassies and so forth) have not come from leftists but from (usually) extreme religious conservatism. And I also included OK City, which I noticed you left out of your diatribe...an attack on the US government, by a US citizen, who had served in the US Army, and who attacked his country for what he likely believed were patriotic reasons. The radical left has been the boogeyman in America for a long long time, and it's been little more than a distraction.
And I still haven't seen an explanation of what makes any of this racist.
