Use Your Illusion I (1991)

« on: November 24, 2008, 02:52:02 PM »

I know we just got this album... and all, and we're all soaking it in...

I love the new cd.

Just thinking, this CD left me craving for much more though. So when do you think we'll get something else?

Not trying to be greedy or anything, just I love the new music and want more and more. Smiley

Didn't Bach say every 2 years he's dropping an album?

Love it!

As far as I'm concerned, it's all uncharted territory from here onwards. Exciting times. Personally I'm down for another tour so I can finally see these guys. And definitley some more massive promotion for Chinese Democracy.

I'd like to think they have material left from the sessions to put out more material consistently from here onwards. Axl has given us something really special with Chinese Democracy, and I can't wait to see what his future endeavors yield.

I think they will tour the album for about a year. For some reason I believe that they have finished the other material they worked on and may be ready to release it at any time but will obviously wait until they promote CD and tour the album. If the album does well I anticipate that they will release another 2-3 cds and tour.

I cannot see another scenario were the label flips the bill for Axl to work on a cd for another 17 years.

If CD falls below expectations I can see Axl being persuaded into the reunion possibly by Gould & Azroff.

I think CD will sell well but not earth shattering by any measure especially if Axl does not go out there and do some promoting. He needs to get on Letterman, SNL, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan, Leno, GMA, 60 min, 20/20, etc. and make this a big deal.

Haven't we heard that Chinese Democracy is one album and not four?  If not, then how did they split up the songs?  Do you really think there are better tunes than what we've already heard?  I don't think it's a coincidence that every leaked or live tune we heard over the years ended up on the album (i'm not counting Silkworms).

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.
