Maybe already too early to start a thread like this as CD is just released..but I was wondering: "Where do we go...Where do we go now!?" 1. Is CD a new beginning? A new era for Guns N' Roses (new bandmembers, upcomming hits and video's...., new 'sound'/'style',..) 2. Is CD just a 'phase'? (after this, go back to the roots and old bandmembers? very unlikely in my opinion) 3. would it be a closure? Imagine, they have released CD and nothing happens anymore: The end of Guns? What do you think? "Where do we go now!?"

Great question. As much as I love this album, I just cant see GNR being in the limelight the way the once were.
It will be interesting to see what develops on the back of this record actually being released....

The wait for (and endless message board speculation over) Chinese Democracy Vols.II+III starts now!
But Axl if reading is this, don't expect anyone to be as patient as they have been for this one. An album a year, please.

I would imagine that as long as Chi-Dem sells okay and the tour does alright that option 1 is the most likely.
If those things don't happen for whatever reason, I suppose option 2 is somewhat of a possibility, especially given that VR have also done their dash it seems.
I don't think option 3 is ever really going to happen though. No matter what, there will always be some sort of action/activity/rumours surrounding the GnR name.
Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see, especially given the fact there is apparently so much other material recorded by the new GnR.

I think this is a new beginning for GNR. I don't think the impact or vibe of the late 80's and early 90's will ever be recaptured. That was a unique experience because they were a different type of band. A bunch of drunken misfits with amazing talent that shook up the music world. I believe CD will have sales through the roof and will have another successful tour. I also think that Axl will release another couple of albums over the next couple of years. Maybe he'll try something different again. Personally I would love to hear the guys do another acoustic album like those on Lies

I firmly believe (shoot me if I'm wrong) that this won't be so strong to the public eyes like the band was in the 80's and 90's. Most fans of this record will probably Guns fans and other strong music fans - basically what I mena by that is that any joe schmoe won't be interested or even hear of this landmark album.
I'd like to be proved wrong though.

It's a new beginning. I'll be right here waiting for the next album... I mean, where else would I go? But now I'm going to enjoy CD and not worry about the future. I can't get enough of this album, so it's not time to even discuss the next one yet!
