im a little disappointed that the lyrics in Prostitute arent properly matching in the booklet. I dont even think some words that are printed are even in the song.

I didn't even notice the bubble noises until someone here pointed them out.  I can block them out easily enough.  Is it some kind of weird effect possibly from whatever the hell that "sub-bass" thing is?

Wasn't it claimed at one point that Duff left the band because he didn't want to record Prostitute, that it was a very thinly-veiled attack on the old band members?  Not sure entirely, but I seem to remember that being said at some point.

Next up:  what was the other intro he played in 2002, at NYC and Boston.  That thing was epic!  I'd suspected it was This I Love, but it wasn't.  I hope it's a new track because it has this amazingly elegant, classic feel just like This I Love's instrumental has

unfortunately the "pop up video" sound effects ruin it for me. otherwise it would be a phenominal song. it's all i hear when i listen and it doesn't fit the song or sound interesting IMO. it sounds like someone tried to screw up the song. and in my mind i keep seeing bubbles with little tidbits about the song.

More and more impressive every time I listen to it--especially Axl's vocals. They are a little different for him, at least for how I think of his best vocals, so the raw emotion in them didn't hit me right away. I always like the ambient ending--reminds me very strongly of particular ambient tracks on Moby's Animal Rights. I sort of like it as much as Rocket Queen and Coma, although they are nothing alike, as far as providing powerful conclusions.

I like the outro. It's soothing. And by the time I realise I'm listening to the outro I think 'holy fuck, I just listened to the whole thing AGAIN.' which is a damned good sign for the whole album, I think.


My simple theory is that this song is for SS, and TIL is for EE. But I may be incredibly wrong...and for all we know it could be about a multitude of different people and events.

A wonderful song.

To be honest I dont really like the first minute or so, its a tad wet and cheesy, and personally i feel Axls vocals are overproduced....its hard to follow most of the lyrics in his high voice due to production.

Those gripes aside its a wonderfully powerful piece of music that I think would sound great live. Id take this song over november rain any day....which i find quite bland other than the excellent outro.

The outro on Prostitute finishes the album perfectly.
