Its different in a very good way. I totally love it. I felt so much (and still do) when listening to the lyrics combined with Axl's very strong voice.  I can see the changes, the maturity in his very unique style over the years.

I just re-watched last year's pole dancing world championships winning routine. The winner used "This I Love" during her performance. That chick is amazing! Especially the stuff she does during the guitar solo (i think DJ is a better fit for the band now and going forward, but man what a great fucking solo this is. thank you, Robin). I would love to see this pole dancing routine performed in concert while the band is playing the song live.

This song has always been one of my favorites since first hearing it. But even now each time I hear it it grows on me more and more. Can't wait to experience it live.

I gotta say that at first I wasn't really into TIL.  Then one day while cleaning the house up I had CD just playing and TIL song came one.  I was gonna skip it at first then the solo came in and my jaw dropped to the floor.  Im sorry but as much as I LOVE Slashs' solos I think this is the GREATESTsolo EVER.

its hard comparing songs cause u have to realize NR has been around 18 years whereas TIL is still new.. so its hard to make it a fair comparison when NR has been so played and worn out over the years.

True but since some people havent listened to NR for 18 years like the kids(and me).

So thats what I thought about it.

This is still my favourite song off Chinese Democracy, and it has been since the album was released. All the elements of this song work so well together.

I feel this is one of many songs, where Robin shines. Think of the legacy this song has, and then think of the expectation on Robins shoulders to do an epic solo. And he did it perfectly, the solo fits the song like a glove, and Robin rocks the hell out of it.

I know Axl mentioned he had to be persauded to put this song on the album. So thanks to Axl for deciding to put this masterpiece on the record. As I feel this song is one of the greats, and more than lives up to it's reputation it had got from fans talking about it over the years.

Well said. IMO, this solo is the one that most represent Robin's guitar tone in its pureness - almost like it was recorded live, in just one take and without any retouch on Protools. Obviously it was recorded in a studio and all, but thats just how it feels to me.
