Yeah, I have an old issue of Hit Parader from 1994 where Axl is quoted as saying he'd written and recorded a new song called This I Love, which was the heaviest thing he'd ever recorded.

I guess it was the time when when Stephanie left Axl and they had hard time together (1992-1993) and Axl speaks about his son (Dylan) on the "Making of Estranged" video too, so there's some kind of connection if you check the lyrics. I love that Seattle '92 clip, there is some veery beautiful chords that he plays, hopefully he would do piano solos like this on upcoming tour

You mention Dylon being Axl's son above, are you aware he was not the biological father?

Yeah, but i think Axl loved Dylan very much and he was sad about Stephanie taking Dylan away from him.

just checked the Rose Bowl '92 show and there's a slower version of this same piano solo. it introduces the black sabbath cover ''Its Alright'', not exactly ''November Rain''.

It was written in that era yes.. still with slash n Co.
nnnNOOOO it was made with the new band... just joking.
This I Loved was mentioned in itws towards the end of the Illusions tour when Axl was asked about a new album. "The most intense thing I've ever written."
Which is not to say that the old guys ever got to work on it.
Why not? After Snakepit tour was done, the whole band came back to the studio (incluiding Izzy), and, according to Slash, they was working mainly on Axl Rose's songs, may be one of that songs was This I Love.

since the album's been released, the old members have been asked about the album in every interview, they have never mentioned TIL so i don't think they have worked on it

Chances are maybe it was something Axl was working on by himself before presenting it to the band, or maybe he wrote it finished and then chose not to have it on the next record, and so didn't present it to the band. He said in his open letter or one of the chats that he wasnt going to include it on CD until Robin and Tommy persuaded him otherwise, after all....

Stick to discussing the song.
If you want to discuss some teen movie, go do so in The Jungle.

one year ago, i was having a very tough time trying to calm my anxiety down and not to listen to the leaked songs from CD, specially this one.
Chinese Democracy is the best GNR album ever. The wait was damn worth.

I dont believe there was one. TIL was one of three songs that were not leaked or played live before.

Axl said whenever he showed interest in Slash's stuff, Slash refused to carry on working on it....
its all a big mystery and shouting match between the two, really
