I found lyrics interesting... this song was rumored to be the part 3 of the UYI trilogy... part 2 is November and the lady dies at the end... and this song talks to god about a girl who has gone...

I agree w/ WAXLRICK, I've always wanted to hear Axl do a song like this..I always felt he could pull off more Elton John/Billy Joel type songs.. First few sec. are questionable at 1st listen, but this song is great..

Not too bad - but the beginning is so girly
I'd be embarrased to be caught listening to it, a min or two in it picks up and its fine from there on
The intro makes me cringe....its like your listening to some boy band

Just got CD. I love this too. From Boston. Just like I love Rocket Queen. I wish Axl would respond to this.

I too have been wondering if This I Love is the mythical Part III. I've also heard people say that there never was a Part III to the, (Part I) Don't Cry, (Part 2) November Rain, and (Part IV) Estranged....and that Estranged was just labeled Part IV because Axl and Stephanie broke up before the video to Estranged so it basically messed it up. Anyone know?

the chorus part to this song (the way Axl sings it with aggression) to how he sounds in the first verse makes this song...
and how it ends is the perfect touch...

I've changed my mind, even Catcher doesn't beat this. Not only is it the best Guns N' Roses song ever, it is also the most beautiful song ever written. Better than November Rain, better than Estranged, better than anything. This song showcases Axl's enormous talent better than any other song. Extremely moving song.
I have to agree!

Finally....finally. All I can say is This I Love is hands down my favorite of the album. The song is stunningly stark and reverent....it oozes emotion and pain. The solo gives me goosebumps even now. Only one man could have made this song in all it's melodrama and melody. The most honest, soul-baring, genuine piece of music I've heard. This is losing the one you love most encapsulated in song. 'Nuff Said.
