Verses are just o.k which is fine because the chorus hits even harder. Best chorus ever vocally? I think so.

The solo is quickly my favorite on the album.

Kind of reminds me of Marc Almond vocally, very clear and sung from the heart, love it.

This album goes from Marc Almond to Ramstine via Floyd, amazing stuff.

I've been to a few GNR boards and the general consensus is Great amazing beautiful song but the solo is lacking.

How could it be, that I've also visited all major GNR boards and the general consensus is ''amazing song with an out of this world, outstanding guitar solo''.

To be honest, I am not surprised you dont like the solo. You seem to have something personal against Robin. Predictable.

its not robins best solo,
like Better or SOD

But its a grower, and He does a good job with it.

I could just imagine them playing this song live, and then when the solo comes up, Buckethead walks out and Bumblefoot both start playing the solo in exact correspondence, then when the drums kick in, they start playing it harmonically. Ajlajsdfasdlfjas I want it.

EVERYONE KEEP IN MIND THIS SONG HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 1994.

"but/BUT she holds/ holds her pain inside"

it is very annoying  Embarrassed

I can't stop talking about this song and listening to it! how can I go to work tomorrow for 10 hours without it??  no

I seriously went out and got a portable CD player so I can listen to this EVERYWHERE (the entire album really, but you know...)

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure that's just the normal delay on his voice, it's just more noticeable in that particular spot.  You can hear it throughout the entire song if you listen closely though, there might even be 2-3 delay tracks, I'm not sure.

edit: After more listens, I could be wrong.  Not sure what that is.

my mom just emailed me that she played it to her 50 something co-workers and men & women alike were in goosebumps and one lady started bawling her eyes out!  beer go Axl lol

i get the chills when i hear the song too. maybe its the below freezing temperature here in new york but this definitely is an exceptional song.

I?m listening to the song for the tenth time now I guess and still I just can?t stop crying.
Yeah I?m a woman but usually I don?t cry.

The song is INCREDIBLE. It reminds me SO MUCH of feelings that I thought I had lost so long ago. Guess they?re still alive. Don?t know if that?s a good thing or not. Well, maybe it?s good the way it is..

Thanks a lot Axl, you made me cry but you reminded me of my "lost dream" in such an INCREDIBLE way, I still just can?t believe anybody could have ever felt a similiar way. Whatever, nobody?s interested in that kind of stuff.

Back to the song - just GREAT!!!

Yeah u are right, thats why I gave robin tons of praise in Better and SOD's. Roll Eyes

how about knowing what u are talking about before commenting next time?

I said, the solo is good.......... its definitely not an all time classic and it certainly wouldn't rank anywhere near the top 10 GNR solos ever.

The solo would be good on a good song but This I Love is one of the best songs ever and the solo just doesn't measure up to the song.

It would be like having the So fine solo on NR.

Its a good solo for So Fine but it wouldn't have been for NR.

Its not anything against Robin. Joe Perry is considered one of the greatest guitarist ever and I can't sit through hardly any of his solos.

Don't know why so many people whining about the solo. Sometimes less is more, this is a simple and sad song, it doesn't need a big intricate solo to make it better. It sounds great to me, all of it.

I haven't had time to flip back through all the posts and figure out if this was said before or not...but who are we assuming this is about?

Everyone is assuming Stephanie Seymour I guess...but I don't know how much truth to that there is...was there anybody else? Could it be anybody else?
