I imagine Axl sitting at a piano in a dark room with his hair teased up as much as it can be...This song is straight out of 1983 and I love it!

Descriptive words won't do any justice to This I Love.

Literally a breath-taking song. I cannot get over the emotion that comes across from this song. It is so warm and yet so sad all at once...a beautiful composition.
I love the rawness of it with Axl and the piano, i think the simplicity of the song adds much to it.

This i do love

I was looking forward to this song since it has been a song worked on by the orginial band. After hearing it, I have mixed feelings about the song. The lyrics are defintely emotional and great. I like the way Axl sings it. I also like the guitar solo. However, it  has too much of a Broadway feel to it.  The
Broadway feel just isn't my cup of tea. I'm going to rate this as a B-.

I'll vouch for Sorry.  Bad ass tune, with so many lines that speak to me as has always been the case with Axl's work.

This I Love....beautiful song yes.  I just wish CD had a few more hard rockers on it.  But I remember the dispute between Axl and Slash back in the day for the new album was Slash wanted more rockers and Axl wanted more ballads.

I believe it now.

The lyrics and Axl's soft voice are beautiful. At first I thought the music didn't quite match but now I think it compliments the message and the lyrics just perfectly.

This song is GORGEOUS in every sense of the word. Axl basically cuts himself and lets the world gather around to watch him bleed. Vintage Guns N' Roses and will forever be the song where Robin Finck once and for all earned his "Gunner" stripes IMHO. That solo is as beautiful and heartfelt as anything this band has EVER put out. PLEAAAAAASE come back rObIn!!! Great.... great... great.... GREAT FUCKING SONG. drool

This I Love...

it is the best song on this album.

The song that drew me in the most.

Thank God for letting Axl write this song.

It's such a great vocal. I'm so glad this is on the cd.

Yes, the song is a masterpiece.

I was very much blown away by this song.

Listening to it takes me away from this world, it's just something special with it.

the song is amazing, the solo is ok............................ definitely not one of Fincks best. SOD and Better solos are above this one.

I am not a big fan of multiple bends............. the part after the bends is great, but I wish it was more hummable I guess the word is.

For me, it just come doesn't close to matching Axl's heartbreaking vocals.

They should have had Bucket do the solo, but whatever, Finck's solo is emotional as hell and works nicely

The thing with Finck's solo for me is, it doesn't take away from the song but it doesn't really elevate it either. I love guitar solos that take the song emotionally to an entirely different place. This solo just sort of fills time till Axl is ready to sing again........ It could've been epic with a Sorry like Solo.

This is the most mythical song of all and GnR fans must have thought they'd never get to hear it. The first few seconds suggest something
different is going to happen and still sounds like an out-of-place last minute thought. Once the lyrics start, its back to the original theme of the album,
unrequited love, which Axl  pulls off without sounding cheesy. As for the solo, this is one song that is crying out for Buckethead What Finck plays is ok, but this was the perfect opportunity to show what he could do and pull of an epic solo. I don't know I'm not too fond of the solo, but perhaps it will grow on me. Overall, a brilliant song, and its great that one song at least, didn't have loads of random instruments thrown over the top. Also, definitely one for the girls.

Wha aa? Random instrument thrown in? Nice way to generalize, downplay and diminish what has been accomplished in Chinese Democracy. This has all been really well thought out. Everything fits and is perfectly layered. Get a better pair of headphones dude. This album is a masterpiece. Fink's solo is very emotional and it is beautiful. The solo needed the guitar to gently weep. Believe it.

Yeah I hear you completely

It's like, Finck's solo is good.  I think a minute and a half Bucket masterpiece could've taken the song to an even higher level

I've been to a few GNR boards and the general consensus is Great amazing beautiful song but the solo is lacking.

thats what a huge majority think and I agree.

The song has so much power and emotion and frailty all wrapped into one song but the solo...... like i said, its not a terrible solo, its a good solo but not an all time great solo that would've made this song a top 3 GNR song of all time.

I of course can only speak for myself and what I've read from others.

All I know is, when I am listening, I get to a very emotional place inside and the solo for me is like meditating and having someone come up and smack u on the back. It just sort of knocks me out of my mood.
