I think it could be about Slash, and if it is I'm confident that there will never be a reunion, and CHINESE DEMOCRACY will live on forever.

Great song, and I've heard alot made of Axl's "Mexican Vampire or Count Chocula" voice when he says "But I don't want to do it"
Well after it was built up into so much, I didn't think it was that big of a deal at all. I love this song, and I laugh at that part every time.

Listened to the album now for the 15th time or so... For me this song is one real good motherfucker! The best song on the album. Really strong!!! My absolute favorite. This could be a real great single and become a 'new' GN'R classical one I don't care if it's about Slash or someone else, it's just a fucking amazing song that moves you. It let's you think about real life situations anyone can experience...or has experienced. Fuck man, the song is now playing....amazing

I'm not one to exaggerate, as you cans see in the review of most of the songs. However, this is already one of my favourite songs ever. I can't stop listening to it. Its addictive.. The best song on the album and one of the greatest GnR tracks ever. Musically, its Pink Floyd but even better, it builds and builds into an awesome and heavy chorus that will stick in your head forever and forever. That Buckethead co-wrote this track and fires off a wonderful bluesy solo that would make even the great Slash himself green with envy, further reinforces his importance to this process and the disappointment he is no longer around. He is now officially on of my favourite guitarists ever. What a combination he and Axl made.
This is Axl's most direct, venomous assault on his foes; all the media whore references strongly suggest Slash is the victim of Axl's animosity. Axl pulls no punches in telling his side of the story. In addition, Axl rejects any feelings of sympathy from his former bandmates. While they may look at Axl and feel he has a loner and a hermit, he sees it differently and has no envy for Slash's media-centred life. Axl wouldn't change a thing and regrets none of his decisions. He even goes as far as to tell his ex-bandmate that "nobody cares about you." Ouch!!!

What maked GN'R so great is the diversity..And this song strays from everything they've ever done..Pink Floyd fans will flip...Axl's voice(s) is/are great in this...So far my fav.!!!!! Great encore..

Pink Floyd was my favorite band until I got into Chinese Democracy era Gn'R... and they're still my second favorite band. And I do love Sorry! The solo is like Dave Gilmour on steroids.

This is starting to become one of my favorite GNR songs. I love the lyric "You don't know why I won't give in. Hell with the Pressure, I'm not caving in". I can defintely relate to that in sooooo many ways!!!

I was thinking it was directed to Weiland more than Slash..
It'll be interesting to find out the true inspiration someday!

Sorry is a great surprise on the album as I had not heard it before today...awesome song.
I also think it may be about Slash - well its the first thing that hit me.
Its such a powerful song, has a different feel to other songs by its musical arrangement. There is so much going on in this song its brilliant...I love it and the lyrics are so deep, clearly means a lot to Axl.
I am really impressed by home much of himself that Axl has given in this album emotionally - really is worth saying and appreciating.
Pure genius

For me, this is the song that I find myself playing over and over again. I def think its about Slash and also directed at some fans/critics. I cant help singing "you know where to stick your (guitar) reference to Slash? Just shut up and sing (Axl biting his own lip)?... Thats my interpretation anyway....
