I dont know, without the "Its...doin that shit again" line from Axl from live version, it is not nearly as good...

Man, everybody here knows the mistakes that aren't really mistakes. Here's a crazy thought, maybe they were actually going for what they got. Sounds fucking perfect to me. Good to know everyone that can type can be a critic in this intelligent world. Roll Eyes

"O.K., Nevermind!"

« Reply #42 on: November 21, 2008, 11:05:42 PM »

** It's the 3rd mistake I noticed on CD - minor ones, I know, but that just could not happen on such an historical album - it's on 3:24 when Axl sings "if you had wove - cut and paste - SO WELL".

This is not a mistake, he's just phrasing the line differently than earlier in the song.

Sure. Sorry for the word "mistake", re-thinking that was too hard indeed.
But again, that "so well" didn't sound smooth to me for some reason (maybe because of the diference on the demo - that was never meant to be heard, but this downloading motherfucker did anyway), so it seems like a digital cut and paste (which is no shame to talk about cause everyone uses that) that didn't work 100% perfectly, maybe 90%... don't know. Nevermind, I love the song anyway, and that's better than anything from any other band these days.

Black Betty, just showed my opinion, and now I'm even reconsidering part of it. Didn't mean to be critic, intelligent or anything.
Just did what people do on fan message boards: wrote my thoughts, being respectful and supportive to the band and other fans like us. If I sounded pretentious, didn't mean it.

FUCK

I am loving this song now.

Was what I considered the weakest but damn that song makes me move.

Gonna be on all my future running lists for sure.

Love the attitude and swing of it.

I am gonna have to do a whole new fucking review in a few days. This song has grown enormously.

This is one of my favourites on the album  yes

Its has sheer energy, killer drums, killer guitar work and Axl sings it with the kind of ferol passion that personified GN'R in the 80's.

Rons solo is the only bum note for me. I'm getting used to it, but I still dont like it. I dont care how technically difficult it is to play, but it sounds like shite.

Yeah I hated Ron's solo at first but now I find myself air guitaring to that motherfucking thing. It kicks ass now for sure.

Granted Rhiad is the one leak I never listened to a lot so I didn't get something else embedded in my brain.

I think this song could be my favorite on the album.

I purchased the CD today and decided that the best way to listen to it would be borrow my roomates Audi (I drive a toyota truck) with nice speakers (I have stock...) and go for a drive on PCH in Orange County.

While listening to it Riad came on.  The intro began, and when Axl and the drums kick in, I was absolutley blown away.  My face made an audible "Ohhh face".  The song rocked so hard I thought I was going to piss my pants!!!!!

Riad IMO could have been a track that kicked off the next album.  It has a "WTJ", and "CD" feel to it.  Just pops out of the speakers.

Very much an improvement from the live version.

Based on old live versions, I used to think Riad was pretty meh... but now it's fucking awesome.

According to reports out of Argentina this is the only song the strippers did good at and the rest of the cd isn't suited to the art.  Maybe we can get Raven to ask Dizzy his opinion.

Excellent song, really rocks out and musically meshes with what the lyrics are trying to convey, and I love the intro they added. Still getting used to the new solo, but the production really helped this song soar.

Yet another song about the old band (note the little clue in the song title).

Love the new intro. Perhaps the new song I've done the biggest turnaround on since first hearing it live.

I'm not fond of the song either. It's definitely my least liked song on the album.

It does take awhile to get used to this song, but the song is actually quite good.

It's a crazy song. This lyrics of this song actually sound like something George W. Bush would sing if he were to sing a song.
