It doesn't seem as raw and powerfull of a rocker as it once did but it stinks of commercial success and it has a lot of to keep your interest throughout the entire track, no low periods at all.

On one of those VH1 Classic shows like Heavy: The History of Metal or the 40 Greatest Heavy Metal Songs, when talking about GNR, one dude (I think it was Eddie Trunk) said something along the lines of: "Guns N' Roses proved that you could be a dangerous, gritty rock n' roll band but still write catchy songs."

I'm reminded of that quote when listening to "Better," a song that's very heavy, yet incredibly catchy. Some of the other leaks had to grow on me, but "Better" had that punch-to-the-face, kick-to-the-balls, oh-my-God-this-is-fucking-awesome! moment from the very first listen. First time I heard it, I was walking around singing it to myself for days. Hopefully millions of listeners all over the world will be doing the same once they hear this single.

If I remember correctly, Power 97 played Chinese Democracy once every hour when it first came out.

Hope they'll do the same with Better 'cause the bitrate there is higher than the 'on-demand stream'.

Heard the stream at q1043.com once, will wait until saturday to hear it again in high quality version. Don't think that the low quality stream does the song justice.

This has been my favorite for a long time, and it's just bigger and badder then it was before.  I listened to it at work just now on my headphones, so I couldn't really express myself as much as I would have liked to    I sent at least 2 people away while I was listening.  "Not right now...I'm doing something!!"  

I just cannot wait to listen to this one at home!  My daughter will also love it, it's her favorite too

I?ve just received the single ?Better? from the upcoming Guns N? Roses album Chinese Democracy early this morning, and I figure that radio stations have begun playing it within minutes of receiving it also. ?Better? sounds awesome, too bad for most, hearing it on the radio doesn?t do it justice. This is really a catchy tune, and it?s radio friendly I could see this catapulting the album.

Now that was a smart move for CD promotion. Despite "Catcher" being my favorite song on the album, it's a fact that no other song in it has the potential to become a hit for GNR more then Better. Waiting for the video now, so the fuckers at MTV may do some promotion!

Heard on triple m in Brisbane that HMV are doing a midnight release. Triple M are also giving away copies of CD in competitions - things are moving down here finally

Triple M are reporting that Axl has fired Robin and Brain days before the release. 

Their "source" is the myspace update if you read the post on the Triple M Sydney website.  Not real news.
