"We're undecided as to whether or not we play any of the new Guns material next year as we feel it probably won't be anywhere near the work by the original, and best line-up (in our humble opinion)," they explained in a mailout. "So we're thinking of naming the New Year tour the 'Stick To Your Guns Tour 09'."

If this GNR cover band is like other ones I've heard, they too are probably unaware that the Illusions came out..Most of these hacks setlists only include Appetite and maybe they will throw "you could be mine" in, they never attempt any of the more complicated stuff...which is why they hate this record right off the bat... |

When i saw them they played estranged, november rain and YCBM but that was about it off the illusion albums.They also played move to the city which i thought was pretty cool. |

tribute bands (rip offs) do not need to blow smoke about why they are not playing 'new stuff'... it's because they can't.  It is a lot easier to mimic Slash/Izzy/Duff/Steve (Gilby, Matt...) than it is to try and copy Buckethead/Bumblefoot/Fortus/Finke/Stinson with Dizzy + Pitman playing keyboard. With respect to Brain or Frank, its not that hard to rip off someones drum work convincingly/passable. Its like a fat guy boycotting marathons because they are not a true test of his ability. |
