And Guns n? Roses? Chinese Democracy shockingly gained momentum, gaining from 33 to 25 thanks to a 9 percent sales increase.

Thats great news. Everyone kinda figured that Guns n Roses would stick around on the charts for weeks/months slowly gaining back up. Its gotta be close to that 500,000 Gold mark now.

Now would be time to put the video out-the spike in numbers could be due to the christmas rush last week-a lot of people in Best Buy-I'm not sure it's gonna hold up after the holidays without some help, but we shall see-as Jan rolls on, there are obviously less people in Best Buy than in Dec.

thats what happens when a band puts out a great album, with great tracks that people will continue to discover as time moves on...This album is great from songs 1-14, def something for everyone, and word of mouth has been great...I have had a few people come up to me at work who are not really fans say they heard "that new GNR song" and that it was pretty good...

Rapper Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" (Cash Money/Universal) is far and away the top seller of 2008, netting 2.88 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. However, it's the first time the best selling album of the year has sold less than 3 million since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
Quote
In 2008, there were 428.4 million albums sold, down 14.4% compared to 2007's 500.5 million. Digital downloads of albums accounted for 65.79 million albums this year, or 15.4% of the overall album market. In 2007, digital albums sold 50.01 million and represented 10% of the album market.

Sweden: Still at #15, still no gold.
#10 in Finland.
In addition to that, the Finnish tabloid Iltasanomat asked a bunch of celebrities to list their favorite albums of 2008.
The singer of 69 Eyes, called Jyrki 69, mentioned Chinese Democracy.
He called it a classic album with beautiful compositions and the ever present ultra-cool voice of Axl. A voice that shows all the emotions.
He was the only one quoted on their web site, apparently the paper itself had more mentions....

Spotify in Finland:
Album #1: Chinese Democracy
Track #5: Chinese Democracy
Track #10: Better

I think sales on this album will remain pretty steady as more and more people discover some of the real gems on this album.

Well, I hope you got a chance to hear it on MySpace or something, I would have gone nuts not having it for over a month after the release!
