Axl does what every celebrity should do.  Again how many dumb things come out of Sean Penn, Britney Spears, and PAris Hilton ? And everyone is like will they just shut up !  Axl keeps to himself, makes great music, and puts on killer performances .... so what exactly does he owe you Huh

I gave CD for Christmas presents to family and friends... my 62 year old Father in law called me up yesterday and said he loved the album, that it was the best Christmas present that I'd given him in years... Shit! I owe Axl a big "That a Boy" for the help... My point is,,,, this Album will sell itself to the young and old, to bad negative news is bought before good... This is a very special Album and soon everyone will have a copy.

As for Best Buy in Burbank California, I had to look for the Album, there was no posters, no arrows pointing to Chinese Democracy, I found CD in the characterized section where all the other GNR cd's were... To me they did nothing to help push the sales of this album... Hopeful GNR'S Management will realize they've dealt with a Mouse of a franchise and not a Giant like Wal Mart...

Owed? Where did I say that? It's interesting how you're unable to read. I don't feel like Axl owes me anything, I just said that he treats his fans like dirt and has always done so. Why do you take everything negative about Axl so personally?

Yeah. Axl hates the fans. Have fun listening to Contrabland.

At least Contraband rocks, so I might just do that. Actually I gave it a spin after I listened to CD for the 1st time and liked it more. Am I banned now?

Contraband is a decent album for cheap hitting rock songs,  Slither and Set Me Free are good, but lack the other songs they lack deep lyrics or any killer solos .... so please don't compare it to CD.  CD is in a very different genre of rock, that is beyond cheap sex, drugs, and rnr music.

Haha, maybe a portion of sales can help fund the blue lights they use during November Rain to send signals to former members.

It would make sense though.

Axl is the type of guy who does has a conscience and concern for those less fortunate.

As he has written - "why would I chose to prostitutue myself to live with fortune and shame?"

Axl Rose Forever

« Reply #1295 on: December 27, 2008, 10:11:52 PM »

After CD came out a lot of "hey look, Axl Rose is still alive, I want to find out what this is all about" posters have popped up on the board and unfortunately a good portion of those posters strived to get Axl's attention away from the real fans. They'll probably lose interest soon though and maybe we'll have him back.

I passed by the Chinese Democracy stand at Best Buy earlier today (or yesterday depending on how you look at it).  It was practically overflowing with copies of the album and marked down to $9.99.

*sigh*
