Fucked over in Philly - 12/06/02

It will slowely climb people...it will all be ok!!

You base this on what theory?  The sales dropped 78% in week 2, I doubt they're going to rise anytime soon.

4 -> 5 -> 12 in Sweden. So far less than 20000 copies sold.

Axl said there's a monumental campaign coming, and a video. Should be a pretty fun time for the next few months, and with the possibility of another album dropping next year should be a REALLY good time. Can't wait to even see some of the other artwork and t-shirts.

Not that I give a damn about the album charts, but if they release the two other covers the die hards are going to buy those and spike sales as well.

Ahhhhhh G&R fans I wouldn't get uptight right now. Enjoy the new cd. Forget about the charts and ridiculious reviews. Remember that Axl has a new management team. I'm sure they have a plan sitting on the desk in regards to the next step for C.D. Remember it's 'get in the ring time'. The most important part of releasing a cd is the up and coming tour. That in itself will be the promotional tool for C.D. (Yeah I see Britney at slot number one. I'm scratching my head wondering if she's going to actually sing this time around or perhaps send in a look alike to lip sync to her songs!!!  rofl)

Someone wrote that Appetite took about a year before it exploded. I'm sure G&R performing in their tour back than helped allot. You've got to remember half the people buy cds based on seeing the artist perform live on stage.

If anything else I'm glad I have a copy of some new songs of G&R.  That was the highlight for this year for me as far as a new release. (I still have to get the new AC/DC and Metallica) Other than that................my ears are still waiting for something else!!!!!!!!!

with AFD they were touring well before the album came out and were touring before the Illusion albums came out as well; and I don't mean 2 and 6 years before the album came out hihi; I'm talking leading up to it
true but what he said is true these things just take time sometimes not every album are realeased with great  by the US consumers sometimes till latter my oppinion just wait 4 it the econ is in a resecion goin on depresion o and i knew during the end of Bushes term he have 1 more fuck up 4 us to deal with

According to musicharts.net, which tracks worldwide sales, CD has sold 1,054,700 worldwide since its release.  I think it's safe to say that this album is going to do just fine in the long run

And GNR (the band & the brand) are holdovers from a time when albums had "long runs".

So many economic/promotional/musical climate variables in 2008. If anyone thinks they know anything for certain...they don't.

Just checking.  Wasn't sure if he really said that.   The original transcript didn't say monumental campaign, just talked about the video.  But I could be wrong.

Thats an incredible feat really...in what....2 weeks Guns n Roses has moved 1 million albums. And hell ...how much would they have moved had there been a tour , promotion out the ass and video ?

In one of the Q & A's, your Avatar is freaky man......

He/she's clearly a Jim Norton fan.

And that's an awesome thing to be.

As for the monumental campaign, I don't think Ax said that himself.

Read the fine print...

Axl never said that.

I'm not here to debate this, only to save you from heartbreak when the Monumental Promotion never happens.

Fuck this guy.  Your are the worst kind of parasite fan of anything you like.  Follow something this closely and be so god damn pessimistic.  I am drinking so excuse my spelling.  Could you imagine if this guy followed and voted for Obama.  He probably criticized everything he did and declared failure for the guy hes voting for.  This has got to be some sort of mental disorder.

Don't get me wrong.. I'm hoping for Monumental Promotion.  Big time.

But that's not what Axl said.  What is being printed is embellishment. whoever transcribed the chat originally put in their own wishful thinking.

I'm not trying to start trouble, just don't want Axl misquoted.  He deserves better than that.  After all, these are fan forums not the mainstream newsmedia.
