http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/page/classicrock?entry=we_ve_heard_chinese_democracy

no review till the 15th. looks like management gave RS the scoop, probably means axl has the cover nad perhaps interview??

discuss..

oh and they say the album is some of the best music this year......

one thing did annoy me though, some loser at the bottom of th page left a comment saying "if this album ever see's the light of day it will suck" or soething like that.......Hopefully the monumental campaign will start soon

Classic Rock have been waiting on this moment since the magazine was created, expect something big. I dont think there can be any magazine that has featured GN'R more than Classic Rock has over the last 10 years, I have the pile of magazines to prove it.

^^^

agreed. The magazine are supportive of the band, but are also impartial (the way journalism should be).....i.e they also report things that dont show the band etc in the best light light as well as all things positive.

GnR will def get the cover

Between this and the RS review.....this is getting big.  These are big players making their approval heard before the small-minded idiots can start their ranting.

Indeed.

This is big stuff, can't believe I'm finally about to see Axl on every serious magazine cover again, right back where he belongs: The Throne Of Rock N' Roll! It has been vacant for 15 years, now it's time to reclaim it! beer

What a proud day this will be for all of us.

On a side note: Am I the only one who is crazy about IRS being on the album? Best fucking rocker in decades! smoking

I love "I.R.S."!  Can't believe so many people don't dig that song.  Wonder why Classic Rock has to wait until the 15th to officially comment about the album.  I mean, I know they promised they wouldn't, but why the 15th?  Does the new Rolling Stone come out before then?

If you're waiting...don't. Live your life. That's your responsibility not mine. If it were not to happen you won't have missed a thing. If in fact it does you might get something that works for you.

Yeah I like Classic Rock. They have been the magazine that has really followed the whole Chinese Democracy story. Loads of Axl / GNR covers when they were essentially releasing nothing.

I have a load at home. I would hope for a positive review from them - although maybe not if its Mick Wall  hihi

I loved the issue like around 2000 sometime, with that bad-ass picture on the cover of Axl in his red natural hair color and a beard and that grey sweater. The article was fucking long, like at least 8 pages, and was entitled "Messiah or Madman? Inside the lonely, mixed-up world of W. Axl Rose".
They interviewed a bunch of his former associates, kinda like that RS article back in 2000, so it wasn't entirely fair, but still cool to read for a starving GN'R fan back then! Smiley
And of course I had to buy it with Axl on the cover! smoking

Edit:

I also used to buy that fucked-up magazine Kerrang! alot back in the late 90's, just to catch a few tidbits about GN'R's former glory! Now I don't have to worry about the "former" part anymore! hihi

^The Shackler, what did that cover look like?  Just curious.

I sure hope GNR has the RS cover.  When does that come out?  Yes, it's a must-buy.  yes

It had a close-up of Axl's face, the pic looked to be from around 92-93. Axl was staring directly into the camera with a confident smile. Really bad-ass picture. I'll see if I can find it on the net somewhere.
