In case some people missed this in the above article, maybe Franky Perez is in the running to front VR

It started with Slash, Bonham, 5, Cheney and Perez ripping the arse out of Immigrant Song. Perez, a Las Vegas rocker who?s done his own solo album and worked with System Of A Down side-project Scars On Broadway, is the perfect fit ? amiable but bad-assed and blessed with a voice that can handle a Led Zeppelin classic as easily as AC/DC?s Highway To Hell or Nazareth?s Hair Of The Dog. His take on Slither and Falling To Pieces, meanwhile, surely marks him out as the frontrunner for the vacant Velvet Revolver spot. (Backstage Perez and Slash revealed to Classic Rock that Frankie had been working with VR post-Weiland, before Slash?s solo album and Duff?s Loaded commitments put it all on hold.)

I appreciate when people take and share videos.  I just wish that they would refrain from singing over the performance when they do so.  That performance was marred by 2 random female fans less than stellar voices.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I sing my ass off at concerts with my awful voice as well.  But I'd like to think if I was taping it and knew I was going to share it with the world that I could refrain from doing so.

Fergie sounds alright on the song, not anywhere near Axl's level but she holds her own.  But she does look much better than Axl in those tight leather pants and top.  Sorry Axl, I've gotta be honest.  Fergie shakin' her ass at the 3 minute mark beats the snake dance any day of the week.  Damn!

Yeah I'm actually hot and cold with Fergie.  I don't mind her music all that much, though I wouldn't say I'm a fan.  Her solo stuff isn't as easy to take as her Black Eyed Peas stuff, for me at least.  But in that video she was HOT, and did the song justice with her moves alone.

and i don't know about anyone else, but it is great to hear the solos and stuff played virtually note for note as they were recorded.  makes a nice change from hearing them butchered.
