Fred Durst and Slash should make a great team.
They're both wash-ups at quite an early age.

Sources close to Slash say he wants these 4 people for his Quart festival appearance:
Robbie Williams, Fergie, Jack White and Fred Durst.

Speaking of rumors, there is another (untrue) one circulating about the Quart Festival in Norway next year. The rumor is that SLASH is trying to get Robbie Williams, Fergie, Jack White and Fred Durst to join him in his headlining appearance in June - July. SLASH will be playing a mixture of old and new material, but he has not yet decided who he wants onstage with him.

I'm actually embarassed by this. I hope to god the can manage to sell out this thing.

Slash must have gotten a fuckin' astronomical amount of money for this failed jippo and now he's trying to help build a buzz around a festival that can't book any headliners nor sell any tickets.

If this thing turnes out to be a sold out success I'll take my hat off, but I honestly doubht it.

On another note. I was invited to a Slash guitar clinic which I thought sounded pretty cool. Like why not. Then i noticed that it's taking place after the quart gig, WTF? Lets build a buzz and do promo AFTER the gig?

I don't get it.

I know, but it could've been.

Why would he do a clinic in Norway in the first place?? Get my drift?

Because he's there anyway? A guitar clinic is not promotion. Interviews and media coverage is promotion.

Well, the original intention was to do this in advance for the sole reason of selling tickets to quart. In other words: PROMO.

I'm surpriced he still wants to do this after the quart gig has taken place and while most of the slash fans are still in Kristiansand, a good 5 hour drive from where the clinic is taking place, in oslo.

You dig?

On another note, i guess it's nice of him to do this for the rest of his fans that couldn't make it to the festival.

OZZY OSBOURNE To Perform With SLASH At Norway's QUART Festival - Mar. 20, 2009

According to Quart.no, former GUNS N' ROSES and current VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash will be joined by BLACK SABBATH legend Ozzy Osbourne for the axeman's headlining appearance at this year's edition of the Quart festival, set to take place June 30 - July 4, 2009 in Kristiansand, Norway. Slash will perform a mixture of old and new material on the festival's opening day.

Quart festival billing is shaping up as follows:

SLASH & FRIENDS (incl. Ozzy Osbourne)
BLACK EYED PEAS
MARILYN MANSON
PLACEBO
KORN
CHRIS CORNELL
VOLBEAT
PAPERBOYS
PONY THE PIRATE
THE SHITSEZ

Slash previously played with Ozzy at the 77th Royal Variety Performance in November 2005 in Cardiff. They performed a version of THE BEATLES classic "In My Life", with family photographs projected onto the background of the stage. (See video footage of the performance below.)

Slash was in Norway in November 2008 to promote his appearance at the Quart festival. His interview with Oslo TV can be viewed below.

Slash's wife Perla Hudson said in a video interview at Rockerrazzi.com that both Ozzy Osbourne and Fergie will make guest appearances on her husband's upcoming solo album. Slash himself told The Pulse of Radio that he was still working out the guest list. "I'm using different singers for each song, so we're figuring out which song goes with which person and I'm not sort of divulging the list of singers, but they're all well-known singers and...sort of, you know, like I go and play on a lot of other people's records, so I'm just making a record and gonna have people come play on this one, you know."

Slash left GUNS N' ROSES in the mid-'90s, forming SLASH'S SNAKEPIT before later assembling VELVET REVOLVER with several other ex-members of GUNS N' ROSES and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer Scott Weiland.

VELVET REVOLVER is currently searching for a replacement for Weiland, who was dismissed last April.

I predict Cornell will be there and I would also bet Alice Cooper and maybe Steven Tyler.
