The chorus.  "Don't even try to stop us now!!!!!"   played over some big hits and highlights.  I just turned the TV on after some Jager shots at the bar and there it was.  I'm gonna smoke a bowl and listen to CD on vinyl!!!!

I saw the commercial viewable from their myspace page on G4TV, during a broadcast of Arrested Development.  It was pretty awesome to see and I rewound it a few times to watch it over again.   ok

Besides the posters and stuff in music stores (like every big artist has when releasing a new CD...), I didn't see any campaign on TV or hear commercials on the radio station. So for me this is everything but a 'monumental campaign'...at the moment.

I've seen ads on TV here in Britain... More than I've seen Killers ads in fact. And it's in computer games, movies and sports coverage... Without the label spending crazy money, they can't do much more than that without a band/singer being out there doing appearances and interviews.

I probably watch 2-3 hour of TV a week.  Bugger all, but I've seen the commercial.  It's out there.

God Dammit!  I've got a loving wife and in-laws chomping at the bit to by me GNR merch., and what can I tell them?
Umm, well, the official site says stuff is coming soon.  Jesus Christ.  I'm a patient guy but for fuck's sake!  I'm no business pro, but when fans wear merch. and spread the good word about an amazing band, good things happen!

 crying

(Thank you for listening to my bitching.  I don't do it often, but I'm really proud of my favorite band's product.  I'd like to show that with some merch.  Thank you.  peace)

I love it when I am just watching TV and the riff from Chinese Democracy comes on.  Just saw it on MNF.  I really hope they are planning some advertising for "Better"

Axl Rose Forever

« Reply #318 on: December 02, 2008, 10:22:50 AM »

I respect Axl more than any musician out there. He is the only fucking person who doesn't sell out and still manages to get back on top, who still has the guts to go 100% his own way, not compromise himself at all and do the exact opposite of what people expect of him. I compare him to and place him up there with Bob Dylan. Both amazing rebels and songwriters who never sold out or did what was expected of them. Did you see Dylan whore himself to the media when his latest album dropped? They're both enigmatic recluses with integrity who doesn't think of being in a magazine or on TV as the greatest thing a musician can acchieve. I applaud Axl for the way he has handled this release. Everyone expected him to sell himself out to every media out there for the sake of sales, instead he let the music speak for itself and went his own way, not giving a fuck about what people would think. Now that's integrity.

LOL. That line played at exactly the same time I read it in your post. Very bizarre.
