Fernando is easily confused.  Wink

I think he means he saw GN'R for the first time in Oakland.

Not necessarily the 2006 Oakland show.

I saw him at some European shows that summer. Either it was him or there's a clone out there.... Two Fernandos.  nervous

/jarmo

Ah, yes.  So, the mystery deepens.  Who is the one posting here, the real Fernando or the clone?

Ali

So will the real Fernando please stand up and tickle people...?  hihi

With both bands releasing albums this year maybe we'll see them play a festival or 2 together next year.

I hope you remember this quote, you will see what the future holds.

I'm dying to see Lars with his brand new dreadlocks.

Now, please don't ask me to explain.  That just wouldn't be me...

Hmm... interesting.

Wonder if some footage of Oakland is being used for a video?

What?  Are you fucking with me?  You weren't at RIR III?

That was actually my third show that year in three different cities:  NYC at Hammerstien, SF at the Warfield, and Oakland at Oracle Arena.

I was actually texting updates that night from the show.  I remember thinking, I better make sure that people know I wasn't seeing things, that Axl introduced Lars before the song started.  After the song, Lars jumped off the drum riser and gave Axl a hug.  I thought that was cool to see given what happened back in '92.

Ali

Me too!  Went to the 4 at Hammerstein, the 2 at the Warfield, and the one in Oakland.  What a great time.

It was a semi compliment.  He is still bitter towards Axl for the whole riot thing, but admits he is a great frontman.  And that is as far as he will go.

Didn't Lars play drums on Out Ta Get Me or Nightrain with GNR in 06?

out ta get me in oakland or something i think, in 06

Yes, that's right.

I was there that night.

Ali

Ali, that was my first GNR concert.  Oakland.  Small world, I knew you and I were connected somewhere in time.

I would have to assume he means that this was his first GnR show:

09.24.92 - Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, CA
opening act: Body Count
set: Welcome To The Jungle, Mr. Brownstone, Live And Let Die, Attitude, Bad Obsession, It's So Easy, Double Talkin' Jive, Civil War, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds / Wild Horses [Intro] / Patience, Drum Solo, You Could Be Mine, Guitar Solo, Godfather Theme, It's Alright [Intro] / November Rain, The One [Intro] / Sweet Child O' Mine, Only Women Bleed [Intro] / Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Don't Cry, Mother [Intro] / Paradise City
audio/video recording?: video
notes: Someone throws a bullet onstage during 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door,' prompting Axl to ask the crowd who it is for.

Agreed. That said... I think it's pretty much enough for me to remove Hetfield from my old "90's feuds" shit list. Cobain removed himself. I guess that only really leaves Jon Bon Jovi and Vince Neil.hihi

I wouldn't say james is giving a props at all. That is a back handed comment if I ever heard one. But as you guys have said, Lars is a good guy. he can't help is lead singer is a redneck asshole.

I'm pretty sure Axl let his celeb/musician friends hear CD for years now.

Hetfield sucks. Metallica sucks. They have sucked for like 10 years.  smoking

I miss the old days, you know. When bands would play together and have a good time. This ego shit doesn't do it it for me. If I were in a band I'll be asking all my idols to be on my gigs all the time! hihi

Back to topic. Lars is Axl's friend, James is James. And Mettalica never sucked! beer
