"Paranoia is just another type of awareness"

« on: October 26, 2008, 02:45:43 PM »

Have tried to find a place to drop this in, but haven't found a subject that would seem apt. Does anybody think there will be any suprise instruments being played on the album.

There has been talk of a harp and we know in the past Gn'R used the cowbell and I think (without checking) there's a sitar at the beginning of Pretty tied up. And we know about the full orchastra as used in the past. Does anybody know of/think there's gonna be a sound thus far not played by the band.

PS Did hear a rumour of Jarmo playing the triangle in another thread....

Yeap. Sometime ago there was the information on Patti Hood's site that she played the harp on
"This I Love". Now there's just a mention that she played a song on CD without mentioning which one.

It'd be interesting to see if axl actually used a real ochestra on this record, rather than layers upon layers of synths.

This is something I am very excited to find out. Hoping for real orchestra.

There are real orchestras everywhere on CD and beyond.

Vibraslap

One was used on Double Talkin Jive.

I'm hoping for a flugelhorn and banaculas just because I like the names.

There's supposed to be harp. I think that might surprise people.

Other than that, I don't know.

Judging by the single, I think people will be surprised in many ways.

OK, maybe I'm on a long trip, but I'm almost sure there's a berimbau on the album.   hihi

It's typical from Bahia, a northeast state of Brazil.
