I was disappointed that it moved down instead of up on the Billboard chart, but pleasantly surprised that it debuted at #34 in the Hot 100.  Seriously, that is across genres and is therefore no small feat.  While it likely will not have a lot of staying power, you can say it is something of a hit.

It has crossed into main stream already, it is currently #34 in the country. It just debuted yesterday I believe.

It slipped from #5 to #6 this week on the mainstream rock chart.

#34 on the main chart is a awesome debut. Love it. So it's their highest charting song since "Live and Let Die". Awesome.
