My choice would be Howard Stern.  He really does have excellent interviewing skills.

Axl can (and will) do whatever he wants though.

Personally, I can't picture an interview taking place.  peace

I like Stern, but I don't think he'd be a good choice.   He'd be more likely to focus on questions about slash and bullshit Axl would likely rather not talk about.

My top 3:
1. Jarmo
2. Eddie Trunk
3. Kurt Loder

fans are going to ask the questions fans truly want to hear, and have the respect to not go places Axl would rather not.

I would like to see Baz handle an interview with Axl. He has done a shitload of things like that on VH1 and I think he could really do it well.

That's a good call... I think Baz would do a good job and get the most revealing information out of Axl (b/c Axl seems so comfortable with him) w/o steering into forbidden territory. That said- he unfortunately has acquired a bit of a reputation as an Axl "fan boy"- so who knows how "legitimate" it would be viewed as by the general rock fan public. It would still be a great interview though...

Not that this would ever happen nor do i think its a good idea but just for curiosities sake I'd like to see a former band memeber ask Axl a few questions about the record. Id like to see the sort of questions they would come up with.

Eddie Trunk Chris Jericho and Sebastian Bach with Scott Ian

best interview ever of anybody.

I want someone to ask the hard questions and not just lob the softball by the number questions. I'd love a real in depth interview like in the RIP magazine "I Axl" thing.

I'd love to see an in depth Rolling Stone interview for sure.

It would also be cool if Gn'R did a VH1 Storytellers and Axl could just talk about how the songs were written.

No offense to Jarmo, Del, or even Kurt Loder, but how about someone who has an impressive track record for fair and objective reporting, an impressive and long history of journalistic integrity, and who garners tremendous respect in the industry?

David Fricke gets my vote.

No disrespect, but /Jarmo, don't think so. It's either Del or Kurt, period....

Kurt Loder would be awesome.  If it could be anything like the "Famous Last Words" with Kurt from the early 90's....that would great with me.

It doesn't matter who interviews Axl, if the man has things he would rather keep to himself, he's not gonna talk about them!

(That's for all the fans recommending people who can try and squeeze things out of the man.)

I'd like to ask Axl questions about his vocal work. How did he learn to do that high pitched wail? When did he discover he had this rock n roll voice? How did he feel about his live vocals when he first started making his return? His raspy voice came back during the 2006 tour, what methods did he use to achieve this? Does he wake he ever wake up the day after a gig and croak?

Del James wouldn't be the right choice as he's on Axl's payroll. It's like interviewing your boss... can you really pose the right questions?
