Yeah I saw that this weekend.  I was checking out the magazine in Borders and opened right up to the full page ad.  There was one of those tear away pieces of POP attached that led me to open right to that page.  Not sure if it was on purpose, but it worked.  Upon further review, it may not have been attached to the page, but it was in there, like a bookmark.

I just texted GNR to 909090 and I get some error message sent back to me... are you sure this is legit and not some sort of scam ?  Is it for Canada only?

I'd happily send the text to find out, but I'm not so sure my company would enjoy the random 50 cent charge on my work phone.  I don't even know if texting is part of my plan.  I'd assume it's those 3 songs though.  Unless it's the 3 songs that didn't leak.  I can wait till Sunday though, I've waited this long.

There has not been any kind of promotion in Australia. I hope someone can proove me wrong but there has been nothing I've seen in any papers, fuck all on radio and zip on telly.

Why would there be no promo in Australia? Alot of the idiots here still think Slash is in the band.

There is a LOT of speculation that the Best Buy Black Friday ad is either a hoax, a fake from the company, or "something else".  CD is actually one of the bits of proof they're offering up (the price is the same as the release date price...certainly no "Deal"..but is listed as a  "doorbuster").    Ditto on some of the pricing in the flyer, as well as the prominent feature of Kung Fu Panda (which was prominently featured in THIS weeks ad...which is suspicious considering movies like Hancock and Wall-E both release closer to Black Friday).  Suffice to say, it wouldn't surprise me to find out it's a fake...or that it's legit.

All of which probably matters not a whit to most of you.....but suffice to say it may or may not be an ACTUAL advertisment.   

From what i've heard best buy like to keep their black friday ad under wraps...

I guess last year they went after leakers (I guess they're a good fit w/ GNR  )

LOSE YOUR ILLUSION, a U.K.-based GUNS N' ROSES tribute band, has been invited to play the Zavvi store in Oxford Street London for the launch of GN'R's long-awaited new album, "Chinese Democracy".

The show, which was reportedly sanctioned by GN'R's management, will start at noon and finish at 6:00 p.m. LOSE YOUR ILLUSION will play all the GUNS classics and the single "Chinese Democracy" and "Madagascar".

This will be a prelude to LOSE YOUR ILLUSION's "world tour" in 2009.
