What do you guys think of this idea?

I think that on the next tour they should change it up and do 2 sets with a break in between.

they could start one set with WTTJ and the other with Chinese Democracy!

I like the idea.

Now that everybody knows the song "CD".... it has to be a show opener. It's just perfect.

But at the same time, the way they opened the shows the last few years with WTTJ is so fucking awesome.

This way we get both.  smoking

isn't there a -karma for some one who insults a mod? Tongue

i think there should be an equal amount of songs that everyone knows as well as a few songs that are new and switch it up at each concert and do a different set of 5 or 6 song combination of the new cd and see what feels right

as well as bring back COMA headbanger

I wonder when we'll see a tour schedule? And will Robin be there?

I hope to see more new songs than old this next tour. Even an unexpected cover would be cool rather than do the greatest hits part 7 tour.

I think if the sets are divided thematically, it's a great idea. As long as it isn't just an arbitrary break.

Or possibly a "Chinese Democracy" section in the middle of the big set.

I think maybe now that the album is out and people know the songs, my personal choice would be maybe opening the show with Chinese Democracy, and moving Jungle to opening the encore.

I dunno.

No matter what happens, I just don't think Jungle should be moved from the opening song. It's so fucking perfect how they open each show and it gets people pumped the fuck up... NEW AND OLD Gn'R fans.

Yeah, it's just that two sets starting at midnight is a bad idea in my opinion.  Interesting to think about... In a perfect world YES!

Picture this.

Imagine if they play like these small clubs/theatres for all the diehards like us.

They start with CD and just blaze through the whole album!

And then play a few songs after a little break.

BUT, to answer Chief's question, I think it's a great idea, granted they mix up the songs between new and old in both sets.

Who said each set would be 20 songs?

I think if this album is a smash hit then they should consider Chinese Democracy as the first song of the set.  But only IF this thing takes off...

Stick with the proven strategy of Jungle for the first song.

Motley Crue did 2 sets on their 2005 reunion tour....not a bad idea...I wouldnt mind an acoustic set in the middle of the show like they used to do back in 1993

If each set lasted 20 minutes, the show would let out at 1 o'clock.  (By your estimation.)

A midnight start is a bad idea if they play 15-20 songs each set. (not in my world though!)

So yes, that is where I got those numbers.

Your attempts at humor and wit have ended in failure.

I was thinking more like 12-13 songs per set.
