10/22/08: Tons of reaction rolling in on the new Guns song. I'm just happy it's finally out! Now people can hear this as it was intended and make their own decisions on the current version of the band and this CD which has been so anticipated. Nice that this is finally real and no more speculation and questions about when it's coming out! To celebrate the release of the song current Guns guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thall will hang out on my Q104.3 show this coming Friday night. Bumble will sit in the entire show and co-host with me. He can be heard on Chinese Democracy. By the way, I'm told the solo on this song is by former Guns guitarist Buckethhead, who is still featured on a few tracks on the CD. Bumble, Ace Frehley, Lita Ford and yours truly will be among the special guests at this years Chiller Expo this weekend at The Hilton in Parsippany NJ. This event is pretty amazing. I went there for the first time this past April and it is some scene. All sorts of actors, musicians and TV personalities are hanging out and selling stuff. Again, to be clear, there is a charge to get in to the event, and every person there charges for signed items, pictures, autographs, etc. It is that kind of event and the people that do it pretty much do it for one reason, to make some money! That is as honest as I can be. So if your coming know that going in. Everyone makes their own prices and rules. It is a fun day even if your just looking to hang out. I'll be there a couple hours Friday from around 6-8PM, and Saturday from around 1PM until the end around 7PM. Hope to meet many of you this weekend at Chiller!

Been kickin' ass in the studio, making acoustic versions of songs from past BBF albums.  Never did this before, re-interpreting parts of songs to work for acoustic guitars, it's been bringing an emphasis on phrasing and emotion, vocally as well.  The stuff is raw, most of the time it's just 1 rhythm guitar, 1 lead guitar, 1 bass, 1 vocal.  Maybe a moment or two where vocals are layered, but that's about it. 

Would like to have a CD and download version of the album, 6 songs, and an additional 6 instrumental mixes.  Minimal art, just a simple EP.   4 songs are finished, I'm also going to include the stripped-down version of Delilah from a few years ago, that's 5.  One song left to record, I want to know what song *you* want to hear an acoustic version of.   You pick

What we need is someone in the US with Windows to install Windows Media Encoder and re-stream it.   It's not difficult, but probably beyond many here.  And they would need to have a decent amount of upstream bandwidth.

Well i have found a way! Can listen to it from KNACK too... and got a link from last week when there was a mega star on!!!
