If i'm correct the countdown would end at 11pm pacific time on november 22nd.

Which means midnight on the 23d in the previous time zone, doesn't it? Midnight release in Indiana or something. A midnight release in a large country like the USA is a bit problematic, isn't it. Which midnight is the good one? The 1st one, in NYC? The last one, where Axl lives?

No that would make it 12am mountain time. 1am central and 2am eastern. I believe that would make it 2am in Indiana since i don't think they do dst

This is one of the most read stories on the BBC:

Guns N' Roses release confirmed

Guns N' Roses' long delayed album Chinese Democracy has finally been given a UK release date.

The record, which has been over a decade in the making, will be available in record stores on 24 November.

The announcement comes a day after the self-titled lead single received its first worldwide airplay on Sara Cox's show on Radio 1.

The LP was scheduled for a US release on 23 November but a UK date had not been officially confirmed until now.

Produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo, Chinese Democracy features 14 tracks.

Two of the album's songs have already been released.

Shackler's Revenge recently debuted on the soundtrack of video game Rock Band 2.
The film Body of Lies, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe, also used the track If The World.

The band's last record, their covers collection The Spaghetti Incident?, came out in 1993.

Earlier this year, the band took legal action against blogger Kevin Cogill who leaked some of the album's tracks online.

This week, he pleaded not guilty to breaking copyright laws at a Los Angeles court.

Are your kids into guns much? I suspect they've been inactive much if not all of their lives.

My kids are 5, 4, and 2...respectively.  So..."into"...maybe not so much.  Hanna Montanna (oldest daughter), Dora (youngest daughter), and Spiderman (my son, the middle child) are what they're "into".

But GnR (the stuff I deem age appropriate for them, at this point) has been playing around the house since they were born...well, long before that really.  They ASK us to play some GnR in the car on a regular basis.  I have a "mix CD" of age appropriate GnR (and there's more than you would think) that we listen to pretty frequently.  They grab their toy instruments (guitar, drums, mic) and "play along".  It's REALLY cute.

Yesterday, when I was in my office and fired up the stream of CD off the gunsnroses.com website, my youngest started dancing around (she was in the living room, UPSTAIRS from my office) singing "rock and roll".  My oldest started telling my wife she wanted to hear the "Axl Rose" daddy was listening to.

I can't be bothered doing the math but I'm just wondering if these countdown clocks take into consideration that (here in the USA) daylight savings time ends on November 2 so the clocks "fall back" an hour ..... at 2am the time officially becomes 1am.  confused

Hmm... does using the word "confirm" in the headline mean that their line-up is official / correct? No Pittman, no Robin, and Brain not Frank?

So with Axl being the one of the producers, that mean he has put his own money in on this?

(Note to self, you asked this on page 16.)

And seeing as how they've used the tracklisting with typos, it's obvious they haven't checked any of the facts before doing a cut 'n' paste.

I agree.

The version on the site sounds "bulked up".  The drums have a LOT more punch (especially in the begining part), and the guitars sound cleaner and the bass really kicks.  It's much more visceral...you know?  Even the vocals seem to have more punch.

FUCK YES!!! BRAIN fucking nails it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
