It almost seems like Black Frog is licensing the album to Geffen for release - for instance, Alice Cooper's recent album was credited to Nightmare Inc. (Alice's company) and SPV (the label who put the album out), and Alice owns the masters. I wonder if thats the case here. Still, who cares - we're getting the album at last, no matter who owns the music.

I hope the album gets judged against the music thats out today because if it does CD will blow away the competition.  If it gets compared against AFD, which it inevitably will, then it can't win in the media.  Kind of like how Obama keeps blaming everyones problems on the Bush Administration  (the past) and correlates it (to the present) McCain.  Modern Music (Obama) doesn't compare to incoming, proven ways of working every possible aspect (Chinese Democracy, McCain).  Chinese Democracy is a work of art that has something for everyone.

Fucking countdown is epic.  I feel like I did when I ordered the Hammerstein tickets.  Will Best Buys be packed on the 23rd ?  Now when I went to the Hammerstein show, I got on line around 3:30, and they were about 100 people in from of me.  I can't imagine BB being that crazy, so if it opens at 11, would 10 be a safe bet ?

Was it written by Axl? Did Axl, himself write this press release? What was said was that Axl is not preparing a press release. Nobody ever said that management would not release one.

This feels very surreal, to say the least. I remember way back in 1999 or 2000 there was a Axl interview in Rolling Stone with talks about the new album. Me and my friend were talking about how long it has taken, and this was about 9 years ago.
