My husband called me a while ago and they said on the radio that tomorrow midnight all the 24 hour ABC stations will put CD on the shelves!  ok So if you wanna get it asap, and not wait for, say, Anttila, that's your place!

I've just bought my Chinese Democracy here in spain, in "GONG DISCOS" STORE.

Today is the first day that they sell the album, I bought it 4 hours ago.

not sure i've ever felt that....13 years i've waited for that moment, as i'm walking back to my car through a seedy downtown alley, fumbling with the CD wrapper with a big grin on my face, then blasting it at full volume as i drive thru downtown by all the clubs and people milling about. The place where i bought it is on 17th avenue in calgary, our most famous nightclub strip....it was blasting the CD at full blast out onto the street, very cool.

I just went to portugal's most important music stores (fnac and worten) just to hear them telling me they can only sell it tomorrow...
the stupid thing is, they got the album in their storages just ready to be sold... but naa... let's keep the people waiting till tomorrow...

rant i'm so pissed off at the moment...

oh well, guess it comes with the country....

Well, got mine pre-ordered from HMV and it's on it's way, but it doesn't seem to be available now.  There was none in the store where I live (Lancaster).  The only thing I can suggest is ebay fella.  May pay a bit over the odds but if you really want it.

HMV still have it on their web page.............
i pre-orderd mine ages ago but i hit the stores today to have a look and what a dissapointment!!!!
I visited all the big stores and all i could find was the normal shop displays and the cd versions only!!!
i expected a few promotions / posters / flyers etc but found nothing!

Yep, Wadeys right, the vinyl is on there.  When I looked yesterday it said the vinyl was unavailable.

I also know how Wadey feels about the promotions. Nothing where I live either.  Just the stand as you walk in HMV. Very disappointing to be honest and it deserves so much more.

I was a bit down when I saw the lack of promotion and vinyl etc, but I did see that the cd's got a reaction out of most people who walked past, which I think is good.

I live in calgary Alberta and went to like 5 different shops yesterday looking for CD on vinyl, and not a single one had any in stock.  HMV said it didn't arrive with the CDs, while at Future Shop and Best Buy they acted like I was crazy when asking for vinyl (the guy at Best Buy literally laughed at me when I asked).  I also called a couple of indie record shops, who told me it was on order but that they weren't expecting it for a few weeks.

does anyone know what's up with the vinyl release in Canada, or who would be the appropriate party to contact to get a release date?

it sucks STILL not having this fucking album in my hands.
