You recon it is not real?

Don't think so, do think it look good.
We're not even sure we can buy it as a good-old-fashioned single in the first place.

True, then again, imo it's a "good" fake. I would have done the same and make it look like a previous one.
It's just my humble opion. ok

I just texted in to Rock Radio and they played the song shortly afterwards! The DJ said its still a very mixed reaction , some people loving it, others are not! But he thinks its "Grrrreat"!

Oddly enough they followed it up staight away with welcome to the jungle.

Love the track, the different drum patterns and guitar overdubs completely change the feel established with the other versions we've heard.

Did anyone else think of Dire Straits when they heard the new guitar parts over the verse sections?  Wink

I can honestly say that I was absolutely not thinking of Dire Straits when I first listened to this!!

As much of a fan of Knopfler I am, being a fellow Geordie, this is far from anything they released.

If I am going to be pickey, the song lacks in the groove area...  I guess what I am saying is, if this was playing at a club, would bitches dance to this like they dance to SCOM, PC, You Shook Me All Night Long, Pour Some Sugar On Me, WTTJ, etc..  That isn't a bad thing, but I like a good groove too.

I think that when this track is played in metal clubs everyone will go totally crazy.

Sweet Child Of Mine gets played at cheesy weddings and discos with old people dancing, the new Guns sound will never fit into that category, and if it did nobody on this board would be happy about that.

Have no fear - I was bouncing in my seat the first time I heard it on the net, when I am a little drunk in a metal club I will be jumping around like everyone else.

Jim Bob, I love the song, but the response to the bass guitar and drums isn't that "groovey" on some of the songs.  Not a bad thing, was just pointing out.  I listed all positives, was just saying, "if I was going to be pickey...."

actually imo this version has much more groove compared to the leaked version. bumblefoot and franks style add a lot to that area.

i almost catch myself dancing to the verses. of course its not AFD but we already knew it wouldnt be!

It's not that far off though.. I mean it's definitely got some AFD elements, but with a new atmosphere. But that's what keeps it fresh.

i didn't say that as a bad thing. actually from what we have heard so far (official releases and leaks) chinese democracy seems to me like UYI II for the 21st century.
