These WAAF guys keep droning on foreeeeeeeeeeeeever crying

Yeah they are pretty painful to listen to. WAAF is the station I grew up on. I had an AAF sticker with the Metallica and GNR logos on it on my first car. I don't listen to the radio anymore now that I've got my trusty ipod, but cool to see that AAF is one of the first stations playing new GNR.

But are we sure it's the new SINGLE ? Maybe they just sent this song to make some promotion, Better (or another) could still be the first single (with a video clip and all).

Who knows ?

Isn't it a single since they've sent it to radio stations?

Who knows and I don't really care  ok

I don't know, that's why I am asking Cheesy

I don't care much either, we finally have an official song, and it's GREAT !!!!
It's on some list as an official single to be released the 27th I believe.  The link is somewhere in this thread.

Aaron Lewis, lead singer of Staind, will be on AAF this hour to give his thoughts on the song.  Probably within the next 15-20 minutes or so.

This is the greatest and best song in the world!

« Reply #807 on: October 22, 2008, 09:18:56 AM »

Heard it this morning, and it is an awesome song to kick things off with.  The best thing about Axl is that it isn't the same old regurgitated song over and over again.  Always something unique that no one else had the ability to put together.  Just awesome...

I agree.

While I enjoy bands like the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, etc, their spectrum of creativity is pretty narrow compared to Axl's.

Sounds great! A little difficult to make out the intricacies of it while listening via stream through my crappy laptop...but I get the idea. Love the drums that replaced the 'heartbeat' in the intro...dual Axl vocal layers are cool too!

One thing that bothers me though...the 'bloop' is still there at around 1:38 - 1:40...WTF?! I always thought that was a stamp on the song during production so that if it leaked, they could tell which version and who it possibly leaked from initially. Just doesn't sound like it should be there.

The first 3 bars mabey, I never thought about it before, but it's a very similar guitar tone.  Can't compare really though.

the dj on radio one after playing it just now compaired the intro with " I believe in a thing called love" by the darkness  and played the Chinese intro next to the Darkness intro
I never thought of that before, striking how simular they sound!
Dont u get a buzz of excitment everytime its played?
wait till they hear the rest of the songs, everyone is going to be blown away!
now the radio djs just need to know who the guitarist are so they can get people intrested in bumblefoot or richard Wink
