Still puzzled since Axl said they wouldnt release anything as singles that they were already playing (in 2002) Things change  The new version is killer..thank God for Ron Thal!!! |

I'm at work and am blocked from listening to the stream on WAAF. Can somebody tell me if it sounds any different than the ones I may have heard in the past? The last version I've heard has the soothing intro with a mellow type guitar that then goes into the heavy guitar style intro...
Anything new about this one? I'm sure I'll find out sooner or later...just was extremely curious sitting here in my cubicle haha.

Apparently, I picked the wrong station to listen to this morning on my ride in. I don't listen to the radio, so I had no clue. Apparently 94.1 HJY doesn't like GNR  A whole hour ride and NOTHING!! Streaming WAAF now |

From what I've heard in WAAF and the comments posted by some of you, song is getting mixed reviews. And that's actually good.
I was expecting an absolute bash on Axl, but not quite. There's the stupid haters and bashers who will just critize anything this new lined up does regardless what it is. We could be talking about the new "Sgt Peppers" here and those people would still have something negative to say.
I like the song, I always have, but it's not my favorite of the new tracks. It's a solid rock and roll tune with heavy riffs and beats with a double guitar solo. It does sound awesome when you hear it on national radio, but to some people it may seem average. So far I havent heard or read an average review - either they love it or hate it - which it does strike me since this song it takes indeed a few listens to appreciate even for us the GNR hardcore fans.
Either way, this is just awesome news. It feels so good having GNR again on the spotlight like they once were many, many years ago.
