Nobody is really going to give the music a fair chance because it goes back to everything in the past. People make mistakes. People separate. People move on. That sucks, especially for the other guys who have worked hard supporting Axl to where we got to now and making this great music. Too fucking bad if they don't accept it for what it is. I think this is a fucking amazing song. I don't care who wrote it, who played drums on it, who did the second guitar solo etc. I first heard a recording of this song after 01-01-01 and this song was actually what got me more into GNR than I ever had before.

I'm about to listen to the on demand stream of the single. I missed the first live airing.

This is the moment I waited for, for very long.

Just before I listen, I want to say I've really enjoyed sharing this experience with all of you over the years. It's been a long, crazy journey to say the least.

But we have our Democracy.

Heard it on Swedish national radio (of all places   ) and it sounded amazing.

It definitely sticks out among all the tracks they normally play. Pop music, Idol contestants and so on.


So it's no wonder if people are surprised. They're not used to hearing anything like it on the radio!

I just listened to it.

I love it....sounds even better than we've heard before.

I gotta admit...I got goosebumps listening to it.  Odd, considering I've heard it so many times before.

Fuck the haters!  Who cares?  At this point, I don't.  I'll let the music speak for itself.  I LIKE it...that's all that matters to me.  I'd like to see the album sell like gangbusters (and I suspect it will), for sure.  But I'm not gonna obsess over what the rock radio call in "sect" says about this song.

whats funny is that yes people outside the gnr community have no idea whats to come, And I was listening to waaf, after they played it, and its always Axl, Axl, and not  even a mention of what great musicianship and work is there in the music. But I kinda expect that from the  morning commuters goin to work.
Regardless , now thier kids can torment them , all those naysayers who are so out of touch , and it will comeback tenfold to them!

Anyway, awesome track. They really polished it up nicely and the "musical" aspect is absolutely incredible. Even the WAAF DJ's and callers (a few of them at least) seemed to acknowledge that. Onward and upward from here. I can't wait for these people to be blown away by Axl's "range" on the album and subsequent singles (with even better music backing him). I will sincerely enjoy that!:beer:

I just wish it were on Itunes today. Seriously, I hope they do more promotion than just putting this on the radio.

Reminder to everybody:

99 percent of people who call into radio shows, do so cause they are cynical etc. most people dont call into radio. So just because a bunch of assholes think they are cute etc, that doesn't mean shit.

Its like sports talk radio for example, its 99 percent negative. A team will be 5-0, lose 1 game and all of a sudden they are the shit of the earth.

so nobody panic and think because people are being negative,that this won't be successful.

The song is absolutely amazing and I am sooooooooooooooooo excited for CD.

The transformation alone CD has went under over the years is just miraculous. I remember hearing it at RIR3 thinking........ AHHHHHH well......... Now it is fucking awesome. The guitar playing is truly awesome.



U have to understand also............. Most people who are negative on the radio, probably only know WTTJ etc. This song is so different, its going to take getting use to by some people. The more they hear it, the more they will love it.

I normally hate 99 percent of everything I Hear the first time. Complex music especially is this way. takes multiple listens to GET something.

GREAT news to start my day!

There are people who find it hilarious in general to bash bands all the time .  Check out the comments on any major music website (nme, rolling stone) - there's always a "comic genius" who wants to laugh at bands and rile the real fans.  It comes with the territory - people are fed shit and lies in the press so they pass it on as fact - blame the media!  Some just want to be contrary for the sake of it.  Of course there will be people who do and dont like it - thats the nature of the beast - personal opinions.  

This song kicks ass live - I cant wait to hear this on the radio here!
