wow! have people listen to the 50 second clip on 93rock website? what happened to the drums?!!? it's just a driving beat now! it sounds cool but i loved the different drums they had on it before. anyway i'll hold out full judgement until we hear the whole song

Love the new drums. Best so far!  drool

Less than 2 hours! I wonder if Axl will call into K-Rock or something when they premiere the single, it would be cool if he did.

Yup. Exactly.

I keep getting this feeling that Chinese Democracy is GN'R's Achtung Baby. A fantastic album- but really different from what the average casual rock fan initially expects from a Guns N' Roses album. I have no doubt that most people will eventually love these songs (just like they eventually did with Achtung Baby)... but they may have to hear it multiple times.

It will be interesting to see if "Chinese Democracy" grabs 'em right away...

Yeah i am hoping that it will. I think they picked a safe song for the first single and not neccissarily the best one. Its a good hard rocker that i think even casual listeners will like.

Yeah. The music will grab most people by the throat and keep their attention. So different and more "alive" (guitars and drumming especially) than anything else out there. It's more whether they get where Axl's coming from with the lyrics/vocals. Not exactly obvious what he's up to on this song [I'm still not really sure myself- other than like most GN'R songs- it seems to possibly address a lot of different issues simultaneously (band break-up, politics, etc.)]. Of course Cobain got famous singing about jibberish for the most part... so I'm sure it will be fine. ok

It's a smart move to have Chinese Democracy as a single. Every time a dj announces the song he also references the album.  ok

They aren't gonna be able to take many regular callers as the lines will be flooded by people from the GNR forums.I predict every other call that does get through that is not one of us will be asking Wheres Slash? Then a hardcore Gunner will call up and say here is who the current lineup of GNR is:
Axl
Dizzy
Foot
Tommy
Chris
Fortus
After this it gets sketchy as there was BH and Brain and Franks still around and Robin...

At this point the DJ hangs up on said fan.
