We know and love the song, it is the reaction of the general public that is important.Most times when I hear a debuting song from a known band the DJs take calls, etc, afterwards.People are going to want to know who is in the band.It is bad enough that there will be people calling that won't accept it because Slash is gone and at that point the DJ's still can't tell the listeners who is in the band

Well brain has said he is still in the band judging from that Q&A in another post. So the only member we aren't sure about is Robin. I'm sure one of us hardcore fans can call in and give the DJ a hand in this department.

wow! have people listen to the 50 second clip on 93rock website? what happened to the drums?!!? it's just a driving beat now! it sounds cool but i loved the different drums they had on it before. anyway i'll hold out full judgement until we hear the whole song

That's hopefully the kind of thing that will be addressed in a press release sometime between now and November. They don't need full-blown biographies on all these guys in the presser- but in addition to Axl- they should obviously talk up Dizzy Reed (additional connection to the old band- shows someone from the old line-up actually did stick it out with Axl), Robin Finck (NIN) and Tommy Stinson (Replacements). Those guys lend some good "name" credibility to the project- and it's just smart marketing. It shouldn't be too hard for the average rock fan to grab hold of the idea that the guitarist from NIN is the lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses for example. That's why I really do hope Finck is on board. Stinson would assumedly have some similar cache in the punk/alt. circles.

Yeah i hope Finck is still in there. If i had to bet i would say he is.  A brief synopsis of who is in the band in the press release would definitely be nice just to familiarize casual fans with the new guys.
