haha i for one am certainly unable to get sleep right now! (it's 00:45 here xD)
no it's 1.45  gonna get some sleep now though and wake up, hoping that the radiostreams broadcast in europe (sweden) Im in the UK.. we're an hour behind the rest of europe |

Anyone else think it's possible the song was intentionally released to radio on the same day of MLB World Series-Game 1?
Just think, you turn on your radio and GNR are on it all day. Than you turn on the TV and GNR is plugging CD during commercials.
Maybe something like those promos will be used. Just speculation though

Oh my god!! I cant stop listening to that god damn sample!! The drums are so fucking unbelievably amazing!! Axl has the devil in his glorious throat!! Thank God CD is the first single. That track is an atomic bomb of ultra-mega-hyper-archi rock!! Call me immature if you want, but I'm smiling and crying at the same time! Future is ours!! I think not having Shackler's as the first single was very smart.
I love it, don't get me wrong but CD is a much better choice.
Shackler's to me could've had a polarizing effect. People would've either loved it or truly hated it.
CD is a rocker that everyone will love or at least not hate.
I don't think CD is the best choice if the intention is to release a song that "everyone will like". I believe there are plenty of more songs that they could've gone with that could have more of a mainstream appeal. However, the choice of CD is symbolic. It's the title track of the album everyone's been waiting for. Going with CD makes more sense to me than any other song. I really do think the opposite: CD could not be the best song in the album, but its the kind of song that will please everyone. |
