Great choice for the lead single...it will appeal to classic rock stations as well as the hard rock stations.

What if new fans go to the GNR website tomorrow and just see a story about leaks? How about a band photo so they can see this is a true band and not just the Axl Rose show?

Great point!

Thanks, I thought so too.The single is amazing news, but when people flood that site tomorrow, they will be like WTF? Where is the info.I hope they put something up...SOON!!

WAAF is all over this...also playing the hell out of Gn'R.  DJ 'Mistress Carrie' said this is the most exciting day of her carreer, felt like she was going to burst into flames, couldn't believe she could say 'New Gn'R single' tommorow.  I hope the reaction is the same worldwide!

How can GNR not have an updated website etc. ready for tomorrow. I'd imagine a lot of people outside of the regular fanbase may want to check it out as the single hits radio.

And yet - no mention on the official GNR website.

So what?

To be honest, I haven't really searched the GNR official site in weeks (well, I just did). Last news update is from August and we all know there's been shit load of news recently. The site doesnt mention the Body of Lies soundtrack, the Best Buy deal...so I'm not really bothered.

To me, that site was built to give a few updates when the band toured and a few tidbits of official info while the masterplan was being planned. I beleive all this leads to a new official site that will soon see the light. Maybe even tomorrow...who knows...but for the time being, I don't really care about the official site, there's no reason to.

I think you could be right about the new site. It would make sense....

I think not having Shackler's as the first single was very smart.

I love it, don't get me wrong but CD is a much better choice.

Shackler's to me could've had a polarizing effect. People would've either loved it or truly hated it.

CD is a rocker that everyone will love or at least not hate.

Tomorrow people hear "Chinese Democracy" on the radio and rush to WWW.GUNSNROSES.COM, only to find out theres an pic of a drunk guy with Axl covering some old news. I hope they update the site before CD hits the waves.
