Happy that this is happening.

But this is all so strange?  Why NO marketing at all before the single comes out?  I don't exactly get the plan, but maybe Axl just wants something viral and low-key at this point in time.

The song choice is also unusual. (I happen to really like the song, although it's a bit overloaded with stuff by the end of it -- I think it sounds better with fewer guitar overdubs.  But, in any event, it's not the catchiest of the songs -- Better would seem a more logical opening song.  I wonder if Robin leaving affected the decision?  Anyway, it's still a kick-ass song.)

Veritas....not trying to be a dick, but you haven't heard the final version of CD have you?  So, you are speculating what the end of the song sounds like.

beer CHINESE DEMOCRACY STARTS NOW! beer

I'm surprised by the song choice. I never liked this song, but the final version does sound great in the promo videos.

But this is all so strange?  Why NO marketing at all before the single comes out?

Let's see: Dr Pepper, Rock Band 2, Body Of Lies, Best Buy and now the single on the radio....

I bet a lot of bands would like that amount of publicity.

Ummm, this is marketing. Who else would or could try to pull it off in this fashion? Chinese Democracy demos are hotter than anything else on the radio. Robin is centre piece of this song. It isnt lowkey, its just the beginning.

I actually like the way they are marketing it thus far.low key..let the music speak

I agree with you on the first single. Although we dont know what the final version sounds like I think its safe to assume there wont be a catchy chorus or anything like that added to it.

Better, imo was the best choice for the lead single.

Sweet Child O' Mine playing on 93x now.  I'd guess the DJ will say something about the new single when it's over.
