Well all the lads in work (most of them not GnR fans by the way) agree that it is the best thing released in a while, and thatw as after one listen.

Here in Los Angeles were AXL lives...
I was listening to KROQ's "Mark and Brian show". They started playing Chinese Democracy then for no reason stopped playing it and basically dissed AXL and said it sounds like GNR but a little late...  not even to finish the song... these guys are a waste of time, I'm so pissed....

God this is pissing me off, they stopped playing the track? i'm emailing every address you listed. man thats pathetic. I will say, CD isn't the best choice for first single, BUT ITS A GREAT SONG and better than alot of the junk i've heard from "Rock" bands in the last few years. I've stuck by GN'R for all these years like im sre many of you have. I wasn't around this messageboard but i've been using this site to get my GN'R news since 1999.
I've had to go through endless amounts of hearing how GN'R is now a cover band and how they can't live up to the old Guns N' Roses.
I can now say the first person that looks me in the face and tells me this song sucks will be extremely lucky if they don't leave the convo with a black eye.
I'm sick of everyone feeling like they have to throw in their 2 cents. Listen if you don't like it NOBODY F**KING CARES.

Very true.  However you left off one important part.  If you do like it nobody F**KING cares about that either.

I just wish a radio station around here would play it!

'Keep checking NME.COM for a major announcement later today'

to

http://www.nme.com/news/guns-n-roses/40580

Not that it means much  Wink ...

v ...

wonder what kind of announcement that could be, and why rolling stone and billboard isn't reporting about it..

any truth to it nando or mysteron?

So people have been slagging Axl's range or lack thereof based on this song? FFS the multitracked vocals don't show enough range as it is?  confused

I don't think anyone is knocking his range, he obviously still has it, but there is no debating his voice has changed since '93, as would have to be expected. It's more high pitch now, the raspiness isn't really there(if that's a word). Some people might like it better, but it's different. It's damage, he tortured his voice from the constant touring over the years. I was hoping his voice would return to form because he has always had one of my favorites. It's still better than most, but I prefer the younger version. Same with Chris Cornell, though to a lesser degree, still one of the greatest voices in rock, but not as strong as it once was.

Just wanted to let everyone know we edited the "Radio Station You Will Request CD On" thread with some contact info for some major US radio stations.... I know all of you out there are listening to your local stations, so if you want to help out with the list send me a PM (or post it in that thread) with the radio station web address and either request e-mail / request # or both and I'll add them into that thread: http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=53672.0

IS there a consolidated list of places to hear this?

Because of "you are outside the U.S." issues and Microsatan Media Player issues I haven't been able to hear it.

So far I know of:

http://www.q1043.com/pages/news/gunsnroses/  (requires WMP)
http://www.98rock.com/main.html (U.S. Only)
http://www.wrif.com/content/2008_10GnRTrack.asp (requires WMP? I could only get "You are listening to WRIF.com))

The WAAF guys seemed to like it. They were defending Axl's voice. The reviews I've heard have all been pretty favorable really, more so than I expected. Maybe rock isn't dead!

"CD" will be in a "Cagematch" tonight at 9pm central time on the Minneapolis rock station. They put two new songs head to head and let listeners vote online or via text.  I remember when the first IRS demo leaked back in 06, IRS recieved the most votes ever in the history of the contest.  Lets make "CD" blow Saliva out of the water and break GNR's own record!!!

http://www.93x.com/cagematch.asp

Looks like you can vote now and do not have to wait until 9pm!!
