Use Your Illusion I (1991)

I haven't heard it on radio yet here, but I've heard the song.

Great!

When I hear it on the actual local radio, I'll be smittened!

People have always loved and hated Gnr. Nothing has changed. We don't have to regurgitate what every DJ and call in jerk off has to say about the song. If you like it, that is good enough. Axl still has plenty of fans. peace

Here in Los Angeles were AXL lives...
I was listening to KROQ's "Mark and Brian show". They started playing Chinese Democracy then for no reason stopped playing it and basically dissed AXL and said it sounds like GNR but a little late...  not even to finish the song... these guys are a waste of time, I'm so pissed....

Let them know what you think.

It's one thing to say you don't like a song because it's not your cup of tea, but to disrespect the listeners that way is embarrassing.

/jarmo

I agree. Shutting the song off is pretty tasteless.

I don't know though here where I live (Halifax) things like that never happen. The stations I listen to, they'll give an opinion after the song is done. But a lot of these American Stations really are negative, not just towards GNR, but everything. They like to get on their like they are big shots, and take gutless shots at people with 20X the talent they got.

the mark and brian show is a shit morning show which barely plays music anyways, these guys are tools who lost to howard stern years ago. In the La area Cd is on KLOS and KROQ. So far so good on the DJ reception to the song. Positive remarks.

that is flat-out pathetic.  play it in full and let the listeners make up their own minds - selfish pricks.

the new guitar parts over the verses adds tonnes to the song, sounds awesome,  sounds alot like classic guns mixed with the new sound(perfect)...the new riff is actually very slash like to tell you the truth.

There has always been this type of negativity about Gn'R....people who no matter what the music sounds like, will write them off.

However, Gn'R always prevails, and even the negative press helps to fuel the huge bandwagon that alot of people will be hopping back on to...

has howard stern played it? I'm in the UK so i have no idea when he is on in the US, but I remember he played the IRS leak and commented on it, so I'm sure he'll play and comment on CD.

Let the station know.

And maybe people in the L.A. area can add that you got no problems listening to other local stations who are playing the track.

A radio station without listeners doesn't sound like an interesting concept for the people running it....

damn good song.

this version is alot more rocking then the old leak versions. theres riffs throughout the verse, and better drums.

i still hate shacklers revenge.

But this song rocks and is a good single, for quality, and the name of it of course.

Hi all,
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but 98 Rock in Tampa has a link to listen to CD so you don't have to wait for a radio station to play it.

Cheers to that! I'm gonna send a complaint... even though I didn't actually hear it tho... lol.

But you can't stop a song and diss the artist. That's not professional or ethical.

still not sure if cd is a good chioce for first single. but it sounds really nice now. maybe the "real" single with a video will be some other song and this was just thrown in to get attention and reach out for the rock crowds instead of the masses? "better" or something similar to be released around the time the album drops would be a good idea.
