There are no words.  This day has been a very long time coming.  In a funny way, I'll miss this very long period in GNR's history.  The rumors, the starts, the stops, the speculation...it's bonded all Gunners together.  It is the grind that makes today so sweet.  I am excited and at the same time, I feel like an era is endding.

Cheers to you all!

A close to that chapter, and the beginning of a new era.

Lets roll!

Here in Des Moines IA I've been calling all day to get this song played.  They finally did at noon today on Lazer 103.3.  I can't believe how great it sounds.  I love that they doubled axl's voice during verses with the high and low voice.  Absolutely speechless.

Later on today I called another rock station(105.1), and requested the song and the conversation went as follows:

Me-Do you have the new single by Guns n' Roses?

DJ-Yeah, but it's terrible.

Me-Play it.

Dj-Really?

Me-Play it.

DJ-Goddamit!

End of Conversation.

I have yet to hear it from this asshole.

So if you are in the area the number is:515-232-0105, Let this guy know what's up!!

Man this shit is excited,

Yeah, there's no double-snare hit at the end of the bar.

I like these lines:

The sound is murky, ugly and evocative of a dark cityscape; you could call it "Blade Runner rock,"

The drums over the whole song are different, guitars, everything, hihi even the high harmony vocal of Axl's. Holy Shit! It sounds amazing on the Guns N' Roses sight! I've never heard anything like it in my life! The energy is incredible. So many tracks that work amazing together. GNR IS BACK! MUSIC IS BACK!

reviews will come and go, whether bad or good.  atleast it got the attention of like 4 people in the comments who actually like it, which is always a plus

I know I've heard a lot of negativity today and I think it sucks people can't hear it for what it is without trying to hear WTTJ part II.

Im still not completely sure CD was the right choice, I thought maybe "Better' but there are always 2nd singles.

Going to be interesting to see how it does on the charts.

No matter what song they released it was gonna be bashed by some.. Some of the same ones likely trashed many of the leaks even "Better" and "IRS" as well

ok..as a huge fan and a fan of every new song except shacklers....I would say that this seeming last minute decision to release c.d. as the first single was a bad one. I was just over on AOL where they request opnions of the song and 90% are bad. Its not just them that feel that way..I feel that at best the song is very average and cliched and holds none of the special axl magic that the blues, twat or better have. Better as a first single followed by twat or if the world would have really brought the band back...instead people are just gonna hear c.d. go ehhhh, nevermind, not buy the album.  I just wish better was the 1st single...sigh....all this work to not put your best foot forward...i hope people get past it to hear the rest of the greatness inside.

Yeah that's true also.  I just hate when I hear people say shit that has nothing to do with the song.

Eeh i wouldnt worry about it brotha. No matter what song was chosen it was gonna get bashed yanno. Its just cause its Axl Rose, and people love to hate him. Hell they coulda released Welcome To The Jungle right now, and people would be like this was worth 14 years.

That said, the song is amazing! The new additions are absolutely perfect. I think it was a smart choice to start with Chinese as the single, cause we all know its not the best song on the record, and look how hard it rocks. You dont wanna start with your biggest song cause then people would have nothing to look forward to afterwards.

Its seems as though management has huge plans for promotion, this is just the beginning people!!! Like the press release stated.

At KLQ 107.3 in Grand Rapids, MI, "Chinese Democracy" was the second most requested song of the day. The dj said that they've been playing it all day and the feedback has been very positive. They did a short discussion on air around 2 pm and the overall consensus is that Axl and Gnr still rock and "have weight" in today's rock world. He said that West Michigan has "forgiven" Axl for the long wait and that the new track rocks-- according to West Michigan rock fans, the song was a home run.

Compared to everything else out there, it stands out very clearly. It rocks.

"CD" will be in a "Cagematch" tonight at 9pm central time on the Minneapolis rock station. They put two new songs head to head and let listeners vote online or via text.  I remember when the first IRS demo leaked back in 06, IRS recieved the most votes ever in the history of the contest.  Lets make "CD" blow Saliva out of the water and break GNR's own record!!!

http://www.93x.com/cagematch.asp

Looks like you can vote now and do not have to wait until 9pm!!
Wow, GNR leads 98% to 2%.
