the only two radio stations i listen to are wbab and krock. before i'd hear maybe one or two songs every couple of days.. but for the past week, they've been playing the shit out of guns. this morning while i was driving home from class, krock was playing PC and when the song ended i switch back to wbab and they started playing PC. and that was just one isolated instance. i've been randomly switching the radio on during my drives and 3 out of 5 times there's either a gnr song playing or is played within the next 1 or 2 songs.

also, unconfirmed.. but apparently according to my friend a couple of days ago krock played a new gnr tune and the dj was hyping up the album around midnight.

I heard My Michelle recently on the radio which never gets played. But I doubt it means anything.

so radio stations are allowed to play songs that weren't released as singles?

the stationi only listen too is Z92 and they always play G'n'R but even they i think have been playing them a little bit more. Usually its Zeppelin or the rolling stones that are played constantly but lately its been AC/DC Metallica and G'n'R. I'm not complainin smoking headbanger

Yes, and this is not unrelated to upcoming release of Chinese Democracy.

102.1 the Edge in Toronto is the new rock station here, one of the biggest stations in Canada.  They've never played GNR in years, and now they started playing WTTJ and SCOM...

One of these threads shows up every 6 months.....
It is undeniable that 'all of a sudden' Gn'R is in increased rotation in my area...also it is 'new' that Gn'R is the only band that comes up on Universals rock homepage in its own box (http://www.universalmusic.com/genre/Rock)...why the focus there?

The only question is whether increased radio play is driven by all the media attention/news stories...or is it a part of an orchestrated campaign?
