Amazon GN'R bootleg listings

What with all the news about CD finally seeing the light of day, I thought I'd search it on Amazon.

I just got a list of dodgy, poor quality bootlegs and shockingly bad unauthorised biogs...

Is this really legal? If the message is to go out that sharing and bootlegging is bad, then why is this allowed to exist on Amazon?
At the very least I'm suprised GNR can't do something about it... most of them reflect really badly on the band, and average customers believe that GNR have endorsed these releases!

I can recall seeing bootleg Metallica boxsets at Tower Records (back when they were still around).  Granted, these were quality boxsets but nonetheless unofficial and not endorsed by the band.  It's one thing to see it at your local independent record store (if you're lucky enough to still have one near you), but at major outlets likes Tower or amazon, yeah, that's kinda weird.

If so, How does a big online store get away with it?
