Best Buy exclusive

I got my pick up e-mail this morning, about an hour ago.  It says I have to wait until tomorrow though.  But it's here so I can go first thing in the morning.

BTW I also got the store is closed e-mail at about 3am for some reason.  Maybe they were doing stuff in the store or in the store's systems.  But right after that e-mail was the one notifying me it's gonna be there for me to pick up tomorrow.

This is a 1st for a non-compilation GN'R album I wonder if it was a stipulation to get a Best Buy Exclusive..And perhaps a reason why Silk Worms isn't on CD. I know Chris Pitman said it was too futureristic and just didn't fit, but I wonder..Not a gripe, I absolutley LOVE CD!!

Got mine from an independent store in Northern Ireland today. Has the parental advisory sticker as well. Maybe it's not on the US release for the reason the first poster mentioned?

Bestbuys in Canada will have a limited number of GnR coasters to go with the CD.  This is according to the flyer I got yesterday.

Just asking...

So I get to work and check my e-mail and it tells me the store is closed and checking inventory for the 3 cd's and Vinyl I ordered.  No sh*t.  It is only the 22nd and will be picking them up in addition to 3 more cd's at my Best Buy on the 23rd.  Is this anything to worry about? And do we know when we will get the e-mail for in store pick up.

nothing to worry about. i got the same email (and almost imploded) and just got off the phone with BB CS. those are automatically generated emails.

I got those same e-mails.  The first ones said "store closed" but then later I received the "ready for pick-up" ones with the bar code in it.

Grrrrr.   

So this morning I awoke to the same e-mail alot of you folks got...apparently sent out at 3 o'clock in the morning, telling me the store is closed, yada yada yada.  Anywhoo, around 9:30 I decide to call my local Best Buy and make sure I'll have my albums there when I get there tomorrow.  The chick on the other end of the line told me it's there and everything's fine.  I proceeded to ask her if I could possibly grab them today.  She said sure. 

It didn't get ugly, but I was reeeeeeeeally pissed off.  I was definitely simmering, but I did not lose my cool with my family present. (beautiful wife and pre-school age kids)  I had to call my bro-in-law and let him know we're back to Sunday for the celebration. 

To Best Buy's credit, they did give me a gift certificate (with which I immediately used to buy Appetite...my bro-in-law lost his, it'll be part of his Christmas gift).

PS  It's still like Christmas Eve!  I love this.

I'm a bit worried though.  I used my biological father's credit card to pre-order, since I canceled all my credit cards.  I have all the necessary paperwork, and I plan on taking his card and ID just in case.  I hope they don't FUCK UP and not let me take home my LP's and CD's!

I'm stuck in Springfield, IL to call a hockey game online (we're on in just under an hour, wfwildcatshockey.com if you want to hear it to pass the time) and so my wife was going to go to the Best Buy in Wichita Falls at midnight to get a copy for me and have it there for me the moment I get back to town.

Turns out ours isn't opening at midnight for the release, so I'm stuck buying it tomorrow morning instead.

I'm telling you, (and I hate to say this), but I think some of us are going to be in for a verrrry big hassle tomorrow at Best Buy.  I just called them now, and the girl said "um....let me check."  She came back 2 minutes later and said "Yes, we think it should be on the floor tomorrow morning."

We're overestimating how competent these people are at each individual store.
