Just got off the phone with a very nice Best Buy representative. I called her yesterday wondering if I could make a t-shirt with their logo. She said Best Buy was still deciding what to do about midnight releases. She said there were some locations that will most likely do them as ordered by the company. But some that don't get approved can still open at midnight if the manager wants to. Just some info. She said she'd keep me as updated as possible. Very polite.

By the way, I'll post the t-shirt designs if anyone would like to see them. They're pretty cool I think!!!!

Do Best Buys not open till 11am Sunday mornings?  Man I'm gonna be restless sleeping that night, tossing and turning.  It'll be like waiting to wake up for Christmas when you were 6.  I guess I'm gonna have to get really drunk the night before so I will have less trouble sleeping in.

Holiday hours should be in effect by than, if not already. Which means they should open at 9 or 10 am on sundays (9 am during the week and i think 10 am on sundays), if past years are an indication.

Maybe we could round up a "crew" for a little night before partying somewhere...maybe some nice drinking establishment?  I'm not sure where, exactly, in CT you are, but....there's gotta be something centralized, and we might be able to put together a good number of forum denizens for something impromptu.

High Times, double check with your local Best Buy.  I spoke with somebody at my local Best Buy in Dover, DE and they didn't know shit.  I called a week later and found out the store opens at 9am Sunday the 23rd.  (normally they open at 10)

probably has more to do with the fact that is christmas shopping season then because of the new GNR album.  I really hoped for a midnight release too because I work that saturday night and I could have just went after work to pick it up.  I do not think however that Best buy will stay open at midnight for a $11.99 cd which will most likely be $9.99 because usually new releases are that price their first week.  They only do those midnight deals for video games like guitar hero, rock band, halo, etc...

I'm in NW CT, so the Hartford area works for me, too.

Let me see what I can find around that area (Hartford, West Hartford, I-84 corridor-ish).  I'll try to find some places this week....
