beats me why its got so many reviews already? why are all these guys judging it on the stuff we have heard from the gigs and unfortunate leaks.........you cant write a review based on that, you get a insight into the album but you cant write a fucking review already............i guess a handful will have heard the complete record but i figure they wont be the ones writing the reviews, maybe its just lame ass fans that can say "i wrote the first review"

the tracklisting has changed on best buys site.

Yes, and it looks like spelling corrections have been made.

Also, 'Catcher N' The Rye' and 'Riad N' The Bedouins' are using the "N'" like 'Dust N' Bones' did. In all these years, I can't believe none of us thought of spelling these titles in that fashion.  hihi

Did Dizzy say this recently?
I believe Dizzy ONLY said the stuff in quotes.  Like everything written everywhere, they take an actual quote or two and put it in the middle of their own spin so it looks like the entire article is attributed to the person being quoted.

This is the Dizzy part:
"[Chinese Democracy is] a pretty intense musical journey, really," keyboardist Dizzy Reed told The Pulse Of Radio. "Everyone that is in the band, or was in the band at some point ? 'cause there, you know, there's been a few guys who have come and gone even since the old band ? has contributed, and because of that I think it really takes you to some interesting musical places. When you add Axl and guitars, of course, though, it kinda glues it all together.

"There's something for everybody, but I think if you're a Guns fan, if you're an Axl fan, you'll like it all. You'll love it all."

Did we mention Dizzy drinks?
That too.   hihi

EDIT BLUEHEART: so here are few notes about the album.

1. It is true that the album is coming out on 23rd of November.
2. An official announcement will be made soon directly from Axl.
3. The artwork we've seen listed on bestbuy.com is the official CD cover
4. The tracklist is legit but the songs won't be on disc with this order.
5. The album will be released worldwide the same day but it might hit the stores in some areas the next day
6. Street Of Dreams is confirmed as The blues

So a rumour then? Wink

i whould not call this a rumor

Blueheart = Axl?

no blueheart is a girl

And why do we trust her?

Well i trust her because i know her very well, she is married to the Admin at another well respected forum, and trust me she would not post information as fact unless it was true and she had a very reliable source. I understand why your suspicious and with all the shit in past from bullshitters and i dont blame you, but Blueheart is very Genuine.

Perhaps using "Catcher in the Rye" could have prompted legal issues?  I'm no expert and that's just my idiotic speculation.   Embarrassed

Needless to say, this is all amazing news.   beer  Time to call my local Best Buy!   yes

Future Shop now also has a listing for the album. I think Future Shop is owned by Best Buy though.

I did some messing around with the URL and discovered some minor changes to the site   These are all different links.  I'm not saying that there will be 6 albums but there are place holders and some of the tracklistings and album titles change.  Some of these might be placeholders for other formats other than CD.

The article is back up at Rolling Stone...

With Best Buy Deal in Place, Guns N? Roses Album Finally Arrives

10/17/08, 11:27 am EST

It?s a day many Guns N? Roses fans thought would never come: Chinese Democracy, the album Axl Rose has labored over for more than a decade, will finally hit stores on Sunday, November 23rd (a departure from the normal Tuesday record release day). The album will be sold exclusively in Best Buy stores and online at Bestbuy.com and iTunes. A music video is in the works, and the band ? in which Rose is the only remaining original member ? is expected to tour in 2009, according to a source close to G N? R. ?The music is well worth waiting for,? says Gary Arnold, senior entertainment officer for Best Buy, which began negotiating the deal in 2007. ?We?ve all heard the stories about this album, and now everybody gets to hear that it?s real.?

The album?s 14 songs include the poppy ?Better,? rocker ?Shackler?s Revenge? (featured in the new Rock Band 2), the power ballad ?If the World? (which plays in the new film Body of Lies), the anthemic title track and a song called ?Scraped? that was previously unknown to fans. ?It?s going to be a great rock Christmas,? Arnold says. ?I just hope it doesn?t take 14 years for the next one.? BestBuy.com has a listings page up that isn?t taking pre-orders yet but does have the full track list and suggests that there will be several different versions of the album available (or at least a few different covers).

November 23rd release date is definite, confirms Best Buy.

mysterion said that there wouldn't be an announcement earlier than today.  This tells me that something big has possibly happened today or even yesterday.  something they may have been waiting on, maybe the last step in the process.  i think we will get some news very very soon now.

Axl is currently working on his press release. When it is done, it will be released.

You may believe what you want - maybe I was a little harsh on what Mysterion posted and I am sorry, but all of that aside, his last statement is not true.

Narcissism has a lot to do with selfishness and deep need for adoration, not giving a fuck for others and promoting themselves at the expense of others often publicly.
