I think the reason we haven't got a offical announcement from GnR is because they wanna announce the first single along with the music video.  Not debuting it, but telling us in the announcement that this is the first single and the video will debut at this date ect.  Along with the 3 diffrent covers, I think they wanna get that all finalized before they make a statement.

He said "no updates before Thursday"...it could mean today, it's true, but also Friday, or next Monday, etc. It's kinda weird nothing's official yet though.

I'm wondering if they're planning a big, unconventional way to make an announcement, as opposed to just posting something on their website.  I don't know what they could do, time to put that marketing team to work they've been looking to hire.
