I must say that this really is an exciting time for me, and it seems for everyone else on the board. It reminds me of when the band first came back in 2006 at Hammerstein ballroom for the warm up shows.

So, how many people have gunsnroses.com and refreshing every minute or so.  I'm here in the UK and it is 12:30pm lunchtime but I have no idea of the time in other parts of the world, especially the US.  If there were to be an update Thursday I could really do with knowing the time difference (I'm a bit slow that way).

According to sources, Dr Pepper is waiting for the release date to be made official before rolling out its plan to distribute free cans of its product.

The Dr Pepper spokesperson told MTV News that, while additional details will be forthcoming, the company's plan to distribute free cans of its product will involve some sort of an online coupon system. "People will go on Dr Pepper's Web site and we will send them a coupon for a free one," the spokesperson confirmed. "It's going to be real easy."

No offense but giving everyone a coupon for 1 free can of Dr Pepper isnt going to hurt or cost DrPepper/7 Up Bottling group much money, the publicity from the stunt will be far greater. No offense where I live not many places sell cans of Dr Pepper individually, its almost always sold in 6, 12, or 24 packs, so I wouldnt even know where to turn in a coupon like that.

Why would those comments cause anybody any offense?  Of course it's not going to cost them much and of course the publicity stunt is worth more to them, companies don't do things like this on a whim, they do them for profit.

Best Buy Hires Extra Help for Holidays

I hope you don't think the extra 15% they are hiring is for GnR's Release, they are just letting Store Managers hire what they feel their store needs rather then dictate from the top how many to hire for the season. Every Year Retail hires for season, and with Bestbuy this is when we see them put up HUGE numbers, the best chance for them to make a profit for the year, Tight economy they are fighting hard for your christmas money. I don't think it will take even 1 extra worker hired just for GnR alone.
It's a CD, if they are doing midnight sales, then you have some people stay late to sell it.
